Me encanta este lugar. Tuve problema de siática , empecé con quiropráctico pero mejoraba por momentos luego traté con la acupuntura y me fue extraordinariamente bien, luego de 6 meses sentí una súper mejoría y actualmente estoy verdaderamente bien, como si nunca hubiera tenido este problema. Lo súper recomiendo , el lugar es súper acogedor y el personal maravilloso

I have been going here for the last three months and have had a great experience every time. I really enjoy his approach To acupuncture and how it differs from a lot of other places in the area. This is the only practice I’ve stayed with because the results speak for themselves. I went in for atopic dermatitis and once he took care of that; he started addressing other challenges I was having and he took care of them all.
He has two sons that work there and they are very friendly and I look forward to chatting with them.

I have been going to different acupuncturist and acupressure doctors my whole life. I can definitely say that MyungMun Acupuncture is their best, an overall treatment, service, and results. This is a family owned and run practice that genuinely cares about the patient’s well-being.

For new patients, once you provide them your information and confirm your coverage, they are able to call your insurance. They have bilingual English and Korean capabilities and treat patients for all ailments ranging from anxiety to eczema to GI issues. When I noticed doctors and athletes visiting this practice, that is when I realized that this place was the real deal. I started my treatments a few weeks ago, going in as often as four to five times a week, given that I had met my deductible and had a low co-pay. Usually it takes me months to feel a difference from treatment, but under the care of this doctor, I have felt immediate results within a week. I feel so much more energy, better circulation, less GI issues.

The acupuncture treatment is accompanied by two infrared heat lamps, and afterwards, you are given magnetic acupressure to continue treatment for few hours after your visit. The team is very professional and also welcoming. They make sure that they check your condition and ask you follow up questions to see how you are doing. I feel grateful to them for taking such great care of me. They can even provide you recommendations on herbal medicines, if you are interested. It’s remarkable how respectful they are in having the herbal medicine available and not as a requirement for treatment.

Note, this is a Christian base practice. Before every treatment, the Dr. Choi conducts a very short prayer. Do not let this deter your interest in visiting this Acupuncture office. This office welcomes all patients regardless of their religious affiliation and has never imposed religion in the treatment process or consultation.

I am really appreciative of Dr. Hyun Kyu Choi who has been treating me for multiple illnesses, the most painful of which is my facial pain—severe, sudden, stabbing pain on the left side of my face.

This pain can be triggered by activities like eating, touching my face, or even water running on my face. While treating this condition, he has also been helping me with my back pain and hip pain.

He has also helped me sleep better at night and has treated all my rashes.

I am very fortunate to have Dr. Choi treating me. I am deeply grateful to him.

A few years ago, when I first discovered I had facial pain, I went to see a neurologist in Vienna, VA. This doctor suggested I have an MRI scan of my head, which I did. From the scan results, he explained that a blood vessel was somehow pressing on the trigeminal nerve and treated me with carbamazepine. It helped and stopped the pain for about six months, but the medication seemed to become less effective over time. When I returned to see this neurologist, he advised me to take a higher dose of the medication more frequently, so I did. However, I developed rashes—first on my back, then on my arms, and soon my whole body was severely affected. I went to see my primary doctor for help with the rashes. They subsided for about a week, but then returned. I also noticed that I felt tired and very forgetful. The more I took the medication, the more rashes I developed, but I had to continue taking it to avoid the facial pain.

At that point, I thought maybe I should look for a different way to treat my facial pain that wouldn't cause rashes, so I decided to try something new. Thank God, and thanks to Dr. Hyun Kyu Choi, I found him.

Our first time here was great and with a leap of faith, we trust Dr Choi with his great wisdom in his acupuncture skills and ability to heal us from the root cause. He is such a good listener, and willing to share more his knowledge to us. I’m definitely going to refer anyone to try, if this is your first time .
