Staff is great. PA and Dr Q are very understanding and listen with great care. However, parking is terrible. I see signs that say parking for patients only. They were all taken by people going to Golds Gym, even the handicap spaces were taken. I had to park at Home Depot. Someone has to address this issue and resolve the parking problem

This was our first visit with the Health Texas Clinic. I accompanied my parents and was able to be an observer of their experience. We were very impressed with the skil and service we received. Mark was kind, gentle and compassionate. He treated my parents with the utmost respect. He was very thorough. Sandy at the front desk was also patient and kind. Very helpful! I’m so thrilled to have found a clinic that made me feel comfortable with the care my parents will receive!

First Impressions:

My initial interaction with Health Texas was courteous, and upon arrival, I was greeted promptly.

Medical Suggestions:

I was pressured to undergo blood work at their facility despite my preference for Quest Diagnostics. The uncertainty of the staff about the sterility of the needles, followed by unsuccessful and painful attempts at drawing blood, was distressing. It not only caused physical discomfort but also left me questioning the clinic's safety protocols and competency.

Contractual Issues
The insistence on signing a contract to use only one pharmacy, especially during a medication shortage, was alarming. My concerns were met with patronizing explanations and insistence on adherence to what was claimed to be a legal requirement. Even when I asked if he could forward my concern to the primary doctor it was met with a chuckle and a half hearted “okay”. I ended up emailing the physician later on that evening (12/12/23) and never received a response.

Communication and Resolution:
Resolution attempts fell on deaf ears, culminating in a letter from Dr. Manuel Quinones stating he could no longer be responsible for my care. This letter, void of personal engagement or explanation, felt like a final dismissal of my patient rights and a refusal to address my concerns constructively.

Final Thoughts and Recommendation:

The transition from a seemingly welcoming practice to one where I received a letter of dismissal without prior conversation is deeply troubling. The irony of a letter referencing mutual trust after such a unilateral decision is not lost on me. Respect and clear communication are the cornerstones of any successful healthcare provider-patient relationship. Sadly, my experience has been far from it. I caution potential patients to consider how this practice may address their needs and concerns, as my experience suggests a lack of genuine patient engagement and support. It appears there is no room for dialogue even as a new patient.
