Aides are not consistent nor very responsive like most nursing home facilities. My first impression was very positive, a few weeks ago, but now, the quality of care seems to have dropped tremendously. My brother, who is completely blind and wheelchair bound, cannot feed himself. I don't see any reason why he shouldn't be able to get help with that or assistance with going to the restroom periodically. My next contact will be with APS and state, if this lack of care continues.

This facility is Horrible.. Management is Horrible....If you are in need of skilled nursing services, there are better options. Before placing your loved one here... do your research....review their record with DADS, police reports. Etc.

My aunt has been living in this facility for 2 weeks now as a hospice patient. In a sentence, this place is a blessing for someone like her.

I am impressed by how clean, odorless and well kept this facility is. Its well staffed and my aunt gets good care from them. The staff in general is caring, kind and receptive not only to the patient but to their visitors as well.

Of particular mention is Ms. Nicole, admissions director and Mr Mike Koch the facility Administrator. Both individuals have been very helpful, apathetic, kind, receptive and above all very caring.

In today's environment where facilities like these are known for their mismanagement, patient abuse, horrible conditions, the West houston rehab center is a cut above all like a hidden jewel in the grand scheme of long term care center.

I gave it 4 stars instead of 5 because I felt they could improve a bit on the communications of the staff which I brought to Mike's attention. However that is a personal observation but has no affect on the quality of patient care which is the primary goal.

I hate to write this but if you are in need of workers follow up with them don’t tell them your going to reach out and don’t the receptionist told me that whole week she will delay my message and or management was about to give me a call it’s not that busy in that facility to where no one can reach back to me just to say hey sorry no you don’t have the job yes you do smh I waste my time gas money an documents you get people who would really work nothing but a person calling off always late don’t do there jobs you jump on there applications invest more into better management

All nursing homes have problems. You are not going to find one that is perfect. However, my mom has been here for three years and overall the care is good and I feel better than average for a traditional nursing home. The staff has always been responsive and I always have found the residents cared for as needed. Could response times to a resident be better? Of course. Especially to a resident who puts on the call light, every minute counts.

The food service does need work - especially the menus that seldom vary and the trays often are incomplete. The corporate office would do best to invest more in the food service and improve this area. If so, they would have a waiting list and could get rid of the marketing department!

Overall the staff is caring and it is a place to consider.
