Nice place with hot tubs and some rooms have sauna. I recommend the onsen room since it has open air and would be nice spot for two people. It’s a house in a residential area.

They charge the same if you have 2 or 4 people in the room. I think 2 people is worth it but 4 def is not. They give you a hand towel, a shower towel and a cup of tea for each person.

Such a magical healing and peaceful place. Service is 5 stars. I received a massage from Felicity who I must say has healing powers! I could tell she truly cares about making sure the client will be relaxed and whatever areas are a concern will be addressed. I fell asleep multiple times during my massage with her and I typically never fall asleep during massages.

I had the hot oil scalp treatment. Another highly recommend add on service. You won't regret it. Following this I had a tub/sauna session. The rooms are private, clean, and you are also given tea.

I suggest bringing some form of shower slides/sandals to easily move through the spa/take a shower before going into the tub. I also suggest bringing quarters if you'd like to park in the front, most of downtown Santa Cruz has meter parking. You'd have to park/walk pretty far if you forget change. However if you did forget change the receptionist was able to exchange a couple dollars I had which I truly appreciated because inflation has taken over the meters and I did not have enough.

I enjoyed it, I enjoyed the sauna and the hot tub and tea. The garden is beautiful. Hunter took good care of my knee which is still feeling great ?5 stars for a quality massage ?‍♂️ and 5 stars for service and 5 stars for atmosphere ✨️

According to the description, “…our tubs have state of the art filtration systems using bromine and diatomaceous earth ensure crystal clear water kept at 104 degrees Fahrenheit. Chlorine is never used.” As you can tell from my photo, water = cloudy. The scent of chlorine was overwhelmingly strong. The tub is shallow and its paint is chipped. The drain is a nonstop gurgling growling monster. I’d have been fine with it if it was half the price. Otherwise, the front desk staff were kind and helpful, the music was nice, and the building was well maintained, as far as I could tell. Would not go again.

Me and my family have been coming here for hot tub/sauna time or massages since the mid-1990s. I can’t believe places like this don’t exist where I live now. I try and book a 30 minute hot tub session whenever I am visiting. The space is clean, the Japanese garden is beautiful, the tea is delicious, the music is calming and I always leave relaxed and happy. I booked sessions for myself when my father was passing to give me a space to feel comforted amongst all the grief and stress. As long as Well Within exists, I will be a patron and recommend it to others!

I made a reservation a few days before, no problem. A few hours before my time to arrive for my first hot tub experience at this location i got a call telling me the jets were down in the room assigned initially not accommodating just that it was completely booked. After telling her I couldn't come another day she reports well there is a earlier time in an inside tub with jets at low speed. I was happy to take that spot since we were going on 2.5 hr drive to santa cruz area. When we arrived and got taken to the indoor hot tub late on their account, I was told they would give a 10 min warning lol... that turned out to be a long strong bell that scared us , pleasantly surprised music came on at the end of our 50 min. Haha... For the space, saw trailing ants all along the tub and walls, hot tub peeling in need for some TLC, garden was pretty with koi fish, water was hot felt good, shampoo and Conditioner and body soap was very nice and refreshing, then someone comes knocking loudly at the door before our 50 min was even up considering we got taken in late. When entering & exiting I didn't feel the front desk was kind and helpful. Hence the 4 stars. I would like to come back for the out door tub and sauna, now that I know what to expect for some R &R

I've been a couple of times. I can recommend the spa pools without reservation. Nice location. And the staff is OK, in that we're-cool-like-an-indie-record-store way.

But my sweetie and I got massages that were waaaay below par. No pressure or firmness. Like being petted on for 50 minutes. Which, c'mon, is better than not being petted on. But one of those massages where you are wishing it was over. Asked for different pressure or areas to be done, but the masseuse didn't change. Terrible for the price.

I might go back, but def not for a massage, or not without knowing a particular therapist.

This was one of the best spa experiences I’ve ever had in my entire life out of hundreds of experiences! First of all the outstanding coustomer service when calling to book an appointment is very professional and helpful. I did the soak outside first and then a 50 minute massage with Christopher, and a soak after my massage as well. As a massage therapist myself and one who has been a professor, instructor and teacher of the healing arts teaching and coaching for over a decade in the industry, and having received thousands of massages in my life time, Christopher was truly the best massage I’ve ever had his professionalism intake consultation was so thorough. He is a true natural gifted therapist who is very knowledgeable and intuitive of the whole body! His magical healing touch is truly outstanding! I can’t wait to come back a try the 80 minute session! You definitely have a new regular with me. Over all one of the best spa experiences! 5 stars ⭐️!
