Loved coming to this spa, however over the years it has changed. Not that crispy freshness of many years ago, the overlapped time on my last visit didn't meet my expectations. It was the last appointment and I felt rushed and non-relaxed after the visit. I normally go every year for my birthday, full stop; as a way to rejuvenate for the next chapter of my life. I wouldn't throw the facility out with the bath water, but would hope that with the continued increase in prices, adjustments are made.I started going when a massage was $45 to $55 now it's $95. I understand inflation, I also understand that quality service should follow.

Channary is so incredibly skilled, always taking the time to listen to my needs and I leave feeling so relaxed after my massage. Village Health was peaceful & clean, and the staff is incredible! Today was my 1st time visiting Village Health & I will definitely be back! The front desk associate Brittany was very friendly & professional. Pam was my massage therapist and by far one of the greatest massages I ever had. She was friendly, listened to my concerns, and even understood that I’d be more comfortable with a breast pillow. I booked her for my boyfriend for tomorrow and I’ll be back myself very soon.

I’ve never felt the need to write a review about this please because it’s been consistent for years and as you can see, they pretty much keep high ratings with all of their clients. However, my recent experience with less than satisfactory and it has very little to do with the massages or the therapist, but more or less the front desk, staff and policies in place by management. There is absolutely no empathy for emergency scenarios when adjusting appointments for last-minute cancellation my last minute in my case I mean 2 1/2 hours so a bit more notice than usual. I had a dry needling session done today for an injured area that my therapist has been taking care of for several months as a result, my therapist recommended skipping the massage because it bleeding when I called to expressed concerns I was told that the cancellation policy is what it is and at the very least, I still had to pay 50% of the cost of today’s session that being said there was no remorse. It was no option to simply shift the appointment and still receive the payment it was “or else.” I’ve been coming to the spa since I’ve lived in Smyrna since 2018 and I was taken aback by that it seems like loyalty means absolutely nothing and one off scenarios and even emergencies are not enough for them to work with you, that being said, I don’t recommend the spa the way I used to. Just unfortunate.

Update: I received a really warm call after this mishap from the manager Rachel who did a wonderful job of explaining why they have strict policies in place. However due to never have been one to abuse this system she has made proper arrangements to accommodate and work with me. I will refrain from sharing the details of this compromise but I will say this has made like this place more than I ever did before. I appreciate the effort to contact me and to make amends with the situation. Any business that does that is worth it.

Disappointed...I requested a 90 minute massage scheduled to start at 3pm. I made sure to arrive early so as not to miss any of the massage time; my arrival at the location was 12 minutes before my appointment time. The therapist (Satya) did not come out for me until @ 7 minutes "after" 3pm (I was checking the clock as I was anxious to get started). I was not given any paperwork to fill out (had been there probably a year or so prior); so they were not waiting on me to finish with anything. Once in the room, the therapist asked me the usual question of where I needed her to focus. This exchange lasted probably 5 or so minutes. She then left the room, and didn't return for another 7 minutes.

Now for the massage...I requested "deep tissue". That never happened. I kept asking her to go deeper; and had to request that she go back over areas. I've received massages for years and most experienced and well-trained therapists can feel specific areas that their focus. Her hands were also surprisingly very rough in texture. I would think that her skin would have been a lot softer using lotions and such (at least not rough to the touch). I also told her that I suffer from headaches stemming from a specific area in my neck. She very quickly went over the area once and was done.

To my surprise, my massage was suddenly over at 4:20pm. So, I received maybe 60 minutes worth of massage for the 90 minute massage I requested and paid for.
