Believe it or not the place is actually a great place bc if u want to learn something and want recovery, the information they give u can definitely make a difference in one’s recovery! Im putting 1 star just bc of 2 of the staffs members. As they say all it takes is one bad apple to spoil the bunch! Watch out for counselor Tina who is flat out vindictive and shouldn’t be a counselor! This is also confirmed by other counselors whom I had conversations with about her. And the Nurse at night Kirsten is a young lazy nurse who talks to grown ups like the kids! Extremely unprofessional whom I’m going further to see she gets documented for her unprofessionalism. These two ppl are the only reason valley hope gets one star from me!

This place is super lax. They don't search you on your way in, you can easily bring your phone and vape in. Do with that info what you will. Best to fly under the radar with staff less you get a target on your back, they'll kick you out just because they don't like you. Only reason I would ever return here would be the food. The food is 5 stars.

I spent 43 days in residential treatment at Valley Hope. The nursing staff and counselers really care about the patients. I learned a lot and made some lifelong friends I hope. The food was good, rooms were nice, spacious outdoor area, and 12 step meetings daily.

Called two different times to ask for support after my beloved one struggled and the person never care to follow up if things were better . Second time I wanted family therapy paid by my insurance , never heard back if possible or not.

My concerns over previous reviews were alleviated after a couple of the 28 days I spent in the residential program here. Greg, the new executive director, has obviously turned this place around since these reviews were posted. The food, the nursing staff, the counselors, all go above and beyond. Love lives here! The only reason I couldn't leave 5 stars is that the chaplains haven't caught up yet.

Day 1 and I already feel like my son is not just another transaction. He wanted a place where they really care about each patient. Of course detox is rough and he can be angry, his true self will be through the brain fog soon! So far we give it 5 stars ! Praying for peace and healing.

Going to cut to the chase: Aside from the terrific nursing staff (as well as the chaplains and a few other good eggs), the place is run poorly and the "director" of the place -- Amy -- does not care about your needs while you're in recovery and setting up success for when you leave. She has zero compassion, zero empathy, and just wants your money and silence -- it's clear she abuses her power and this place would be amazing if she were no longer there. Added to that, the programming there is extremely repetitive and there's little coping skills and tools learned that you need for when you get back to the real world. I only recommend this place for the nursing staff, who are all incredible and the ones who want you to succeed.
