Avoid placing a loved one at this place. They are only interested in making money. The care is severely lacking. Drove an hour today to visit and was told, you can't park here,we are having the fall festival for the community. Again to make money for themselves. My mother is here and paralyzed. Do you think she cares about what you are doing outside to have fun and make money? No she cares about seeing someone who actually cares for her. This place is a joke.

Valencia Hills memory care unit is by distant the foremost remarkable memory care I've ever experienced in my 16 years in healthcare! The staff are caring, well-trained, compassionate and full of humor and great cheer. Your loved one is in a secure environment and among companions which incorporate the workers. Directly coming from office and experiencing multiple nursing homes within the encompassing region, I must say this facility is by far one of the best facilities I have ever been to!! All staff really care and they give the finest and upmost outstanding care. I have never seen staff that treat residents as family, but here they do. Therapy, activities, upper administration etc, they give respect and bolster to patients, and I must include staff is exceptionally experienced. I cannot suggest a more profoundly and proficient facility. Take a visit and meet the staff on their memory care unit! They are incredible! Simone you rock!

WARNING TO FAMILIES-If you read through the reviews, you will notice that many of the 5 star reviews are from people employed there. That was red flag #1 for me. We still gave it a chance due to the urgent need we had for my parent. Spoiler alert, my parent is now in a much better facility.

He was transported in from the hospital and we met him there later. Immediately upon entering the front building, the smell of urine was extremely strong. As we walked through several different areas to get to my parent’s room, some buildings smelled okay and some were awful.

The worst part was in his room. The overwhelming smell of mildew/mold was awful. I am highly allergic, and I immediately began having a respiratory reaction. It also looked like the room hadn’t been cleaned in a long time. The floor was dirty, there was thick dust in the light fixture and blinds, and there was a bin with someone else’s name on it in the bathroom. We began planning for another place that evening. He also had a tv that didn’t work.

On the day that my parent was transported to the other facility, he had an accident and wasn’t tended to for a very long time. Also, (not naming the name or position) someone involved told us how much we would like the new facility because this one is a sh..hole.

While the staff we met seemed nice, it appears that they are overworked or short staffed. Cleaning and maintenance also doesn’t seem like a priority there. I was told maintenance came in and said there was no mold or mildew, but everyone in my family could smell it and my sister also had a respiratory reaction to it.

I recommend you tour before you choose. We should have. If you do choose this place, please go often and check on your person. Take someone with a good sense of smell that can detect smells that shouldn’t be there. Check for cleanliness. I was told they clean daily but that is not possible with what I saw.

My mother and father have both been cared for at Valencia Hills. My mother was first, as she suffered with chronic respiratory disease, having contracted TB as a young girl in post-WW2.

I visited her every weekend for several years, with toddler grands, and our family would visit as well. Her lungs eventually wore out. I do not regret the time I had with her, even if she was understandably grumpy sometimes. The staff at Valencia did a great job in caring for her.

Now, my father is at Valencia. He’s 91 years old. He’s suffered 3 strokes, and his 2nd wife did her best caring for him at home, until she could no longer do the physical work required to care for him. He could no longer walk. He had the use of only one arm.

Valencia staff has treated my father like he’s their father. They charm him, encourage him, and are sure to let him know that they care about him. We couldn’t ask for a better care team to look after Dad. Thank you, Valencia employees, for your service.

What a great relief when i decided to transfer my wife to Valencia Hills through the help of Eva, Special thanks too to Amor, the director of Nursing and the admission manager, Keway who did her best to expedite my wife‘a admission. So far me and my wife is very thankful for quality of care she is receiving from nurses Jason, Cottard, Viviana and CNAs Carmen, Christine. They are all very compassionate. Thank you to all of you.

My dad has been at Valencia for just over a year now. They have had some great employees working there but they don’t seem to last long. I would never recommend this place for anyone and we are looking for somewhere else.
