I recently visited this medical spa in Houston and had an amazing experience. The staff was incredibly knowledgeable and made me feel comfortable throughout my visit. The treatments I received were top-notch, and I could really see and feel the difference in my skin. Overall, I highly recommend this medical spa for anyone looking to pamper themselves and improve their skin's health. It's definitely worth a visit!

I contacted this spa for an appt several times and no one answered the phone. According to their hours, they open at 10 am on Tuesdays. So I drove there, arrived a little after 10 and no one was there. I even stayed outside for 30 extra minutes. No one came and still no response on the phone.

They don't value your time or schedule. I made 2 online appointment "requests" for Saturday on Tuesday. Noting how heavily they rely on the "request" language, when I had heard nothing, I tried calling Thursday afternoon. When no one answered on Thursday, I later sent a message via their website. Friday morning, I received an "Appointment Reminder", so I thought this was the confirmation I had been awaiting. Friday afternoon, less than 24 hours before the appointment I thought I had, l received a call from Stephanie explaining that they are all booked for Saturday. Next available is Tuesday...when my kids are back in school...after the long weekend...on a workday.

My suggestion for the business is, if no one will TIMELY integrate online scheduling, remove the functionality altogether. A majority of the negative reviews are around scheduling and office management.

They have a whole host of beauty regimens for you so the options are limitless. Personally, I’m in love with their facials and laser treatments as they make it truly a luxurious experience.

Con: As mentioned by others, the lack of professionalism from the owners and other staff is appalling. I've been seeing Pricilla for almost 2 years consistently. I had a facial scheduled on my birthday. I received email and text confirmation. When I arrived for the appointment, they informed me their was a glitch and the appointment was never actually scheduled, in spite of me having confirmations. They let the other person have the appointment because that name did show up in their system. Stephanie told me she would follow-up with the owners and let me know how they could make it up to me. I never heard back. I called to follow-up and the person at the front desk remembered the situation and said they would follow-up by the end of the day. No one ever called back. Unfortunately, this is not the first time I've called or emailed and they don't respond or follow-up. It's a shame that they operate in this way. I kept coming back because of Pricilla, but this was the last straw for me.

I was excited to try this med-spa because of it being owned by black women but unfortunately this med-spa left a horrible taste in my mouth and I would NEVER recommend them to anyone.

Long story short, I went in for a chemical peel and received the wrong chemical peel. That’s not the issue. Mistakes happen, I get it. The issue is that when I tried to call for 3 days straight and let them know of the problem and how I discovered it, they kept giving me the runaround. I called about 7 times and everytime I was met with, “The esthetician (Stephanie) is busy and she’ll call you back.” I didn’t get a call back until I threatened to dispute the charge and even then nothing was solved. The only thing that came of the last and final call was her admitting to giving me the wrong chemical peel. I told her I just want what I payed for. She told me that she would talk to the doctors (the owners) and she’ll get back to me in an hour. I never received a call back to this day. I also sent a lengthy detailed email and no one responded to it.

There are so many other professional med-spas available in Houston. Med-spas they actually care about their clients and who are communicative. I highly suggest taking your business elsewhere.

My very first visit at Tru Essence Spa was very pleasant and professional. I had my awesome facial done by Stephanie, who I highly recommend. I will be coming back and sending anyone I know back to her. She is worth it! I also recommend Courtney, to consult with. She will give you the necessary direction to a better healthy lifestyle. The owner of the this clean establishment, one of the beautiful twins, were also very pleasant to converse with.
