We had an incredible experience at SunWater Spa! We booked a 90-minute soak from 8:00 pm - 9:30 pm, and I highly recommend going in the evening—it’s easier to find parking (which you do have to pay for in Manitou), plus you get the amazing view of the mountains and stars.

The mineral-water cedar hot tubs are so soothing, and it’s cool to know the water comes from the famous 7 Minute Spring. It felt peaceful and clean, and the whole experience was super relaxing. You also have access to the sauna, cold plunges, and a communal saline pool, which added to the fun! The ice plunge was refreshing after the hot soak, and hopping between the sauna and pool was a perfect way to unwind.

It’s a bit pricier than other soak spots, but honestly, it’s worth it. The whole vibe and amenities make it an experience you’ll want to come back for!

I'd been wanting to come here for awhile now but they book up super fast! Finally was able to book a tub last week and even though $45-60 for an hour and a half may seem pricey to some, it was very well worth it! The tub and indoor pool were so relaxing and the views were amazing. Looking forward to coming back soon.

Such a delightful place with a variety of soaker pools and options to feel your best. Beautiful ambience and restful. The ice plunges are a great touch. There was many people there on a Saturday evening and every corner was busy. I enjoyed my reserved tub and avoided the crowds.

The facility was very clean and very aesthetically pleasing and everyone was very respectful and helpful! The soak was relaxing and we enjoyed the options we had in addition to “Marys Mountain” private tub; the sauna, cold plunges, and spring pools. We thoroughly enjoyed the complimentary and convenient shower items, bags for wet clothing, and the loaner towels. Everything is very orderly and well thought out at this establishment. Cannot wait to come back!! We left feeling better than we ever have.

I want to give a better review, but there are some improvements needed.
I’ve been to this spa at least 5 times, and the last two times, there was no hot water for the showers. They require patrons to shower prior to the tubs. So the initial shower, and the one after the tub were both cold, which defeats the purpose of trying to relax in the tubs.
Second, the website is outdated. If you want the more private tub option, it is not listed in the drop down menu for tub bookings. Instead you have to call, which, no one has ever answered the phone when I’ve called. Emails are even slower.
There are not enough bathrooms. The bathrooms in the main level are cramped, and there’s no privacy when changing, unless you squeeze into a bathroom stall. Otherwise, the rest of the bathroom, including the showers are visible when the door is opened. There is a flimsy curtain, but its not enough. The bathrooms on the top level are nicer, larger and private, but there are only two. Since booking for all tubs are on the same time slots, this creates a huge log-jam of patrons all trying to use the facilities after their soak. On the last visit, there were six people waiting in line for the bathrooms.

I want to give this place more stars, I really do. The booking experience was smooth, the staff was very friendly and spelled all the rules out for us clearly. The views are AMAZING and amenities are clean and beautiful. The hot tub soak itself was an awesome experience and it was so relaxing.

But the bathroom situation is ATROCIOUS. How can you *require* every single person to shower before entering and then only have about one to two showers per floor? My mom and I waited for soooo long waiting for a shower that ate into our time in the tub and yes we did arrive fifteen minutes early. The two bathrooms on the top floor are single person, the ones on the middle floor have stalls for toilets, but there was only one shower (maybe there was a second one but the bathroom was so cramped I couldn't even see the full bathroom and again that's only two). And when the place is fully booked there's often sixteen to twenty people per floor since each tub can do four to six people... All waiting for showers.

I saw many people entering the tubs without showering simply because there were no showers available!! And to be honest - I do not blame them at all. You have limited time and you do not have time to wait ten to twenty minutes for someone else to take up the shower.

If you're going to require everyone to shower, you can't have such limited options. What they really should do is have a locker room with 7-10 showers lined up ready for people or an outdoor option like at a public pool where people can do a quick rinse.

Had to leave only one star. This place is lovely, the staff is friendly. BUT, I thought it was a spa like “quiet zone”. Many guests were full voiced and extremely loud to the point I left 30 minutes into my 90 minute session. I mentioned to the nice young ladies running the front desk. They were compassionate but did not know how to resolve this. I suggested installing some signs and perhaps mentioning it to the guests as they check in.

It seems not everyone knows that spas are meant to be a quiet place for relaxation and rejuvenation. Perhaps we should politely teach them.

I drove a very long ways to relax and rejuvenate. I will now think twice before I return again. Shame, it’s a lovely place.
