I can only comment on kitchen.
I was there to do work in kitchen area ceiling. First off the kitchen staff are very professional. Above the ceiling was spotless no bugs, mice doo doo absolutely nothing very impressed with how clean it was. It is very rare to see clean ceilings in retaurants and commercial kitchens.

This nursing home is redundant, disgraceful, and should not be called the only Black owned nursing home. The staff try their damdest to make their elders happy, but they can not do it all. They hire and fire staff like a revolving door. The cook/chef get NO help or have NO assistant to help them cook for 100+ elders. When the delivery truck doesn't show up the elders don't eat...Really! The place is infested with BED BUGS. If you have family there please find another nursing home for them before the old contract ends in October of 2023. Also, they pay there workers half of what they worth. They scam them out of pay by documenting hours on paper with a pencil/pen, no time clock, NO REAL DOCUMENTION. What is this Bedrock or the Flintstones. NO ELDERLY MEN OR WOMEN SHOULD LIVE LIKE THIS ?. The elderly paying with SS money, but living in shotty condition Can you imagine how the elders feel. Get 7OnYour side, Fox5 or any News channel get in there to make this CHANGE ASAP!!! Deplorable Condition in the year of 2023... Dang ?

My mom died there January 2021. Horrible place, tied my mom up because she was itching herself . Had a meeting nothing really was done . They made my mom suffer because she told me they tied her up. The next day we came in, they overdosed her on meds. She could not speak , lethargic etc. The Place should be shut down period . The staff cruel ! Left my mom in bed never got to go out. You will have your day staff , administrators, HR and Social workers and the Horrible Horrible nurses?

Very dissatisfied with this place. My mother went here when released from hospital for rehabilitation. The first day there they lost her hearing aide and acted like it was mother's fault. She is 94 and senile. Staff was actually very nice but way overworked. There was one nurse on the floor for almost 60 patients. He kept apologizing saying it was just him and a couple of Nurses Aides who were pleasant but not particularly competent and stretched way to thin. They seemed to just line the residents up in wheelchairs in the day room and leave the TV on all day. No real activities. The therapists came around regularly but did the bare minimum. Seemed to be just checking the box that they showed up and did the therapy but did not really extend much effort with the patients. I could not get my mother out of there fast enough.

I am writing this note to let Stoddard know how much I appreciate the care they give my love one. My rating is a 4 plus some. So I’m giving them 5 stars. My mom is 95 years old and has been with Stoddard for more than 5 years. First let me say no place is perfect and neither is Stoddard. Yet in their perfect imperfection way they are there for me and mom. It has been proven during this most trying times when I have to look at mom through a glass window or see and hear her voice on Google duo. It’s the inflection in her voice when I hear her say ‘dear’ to me or her care giver, it is the coloring in her cheeks, and the feisty ness in her voice. It is the reassuring conversations with the Unit Assistant, the Head Nurse, staff nurses and technicians, the security guards, and other medical professionals and housekeeping. It is the reassuring conversations with social services, physical and recreational therapy who answer my most urgent and often demanding questions. It is the virtual conversations and window conversations that assure me that mom has not lost her spunk. Not a perfect place, but the right place for my mom. Yes there are times when we butt heads, but all in all I want to Thank you Stoddard for caring for my mom.

This was once a great place for our loved ones. One of the Mothers of the church was in this nursing home for a few years. She often spoke of the poor service they give. They do not give proper care to their patients. In the midst of the Covid-19 pandemic the service has not improved, but rather gotten worse. Apparently some of the staff members were infected with the virus. The families were not notified properly. As well, some of the patients started to become infected. When this particular patient became ill her family was told that she was simply resting. After days of bed-rest for an otherwise active person her family insisted they take her to the hospital. It turns out that she tested positive for the virus and died the very next day.

Our elderly citizens deserve much better care than they are receiving, especially from a home that has spiritual foundation. Please find another place to put your loved ones. We need to report this atrocious level of care to the Healthcare authorities.

After speaking with the Admissions, I find that this may not be a good place to leave my loved ones. My conversation with the African nurse in admissions definitely deterred me from even wanting to bring him here. Her tone was very negative and she seems like as if she didn't want nor feel like helping me. She was very combative. Instead of seeing the best possible way of assisting, she prevented me from wanting to go further with her. I had to ask to speak with her supervisor because her customer service was that poor and unprofessional.
