Pleasant to say I recommend this place especially if deciding for a massage on a whim! I did a walk-in late this evening after work at 9p.

Upon entering, the front desk girl was very friendly and helpful. I chose the 1hr full body massage.

I enjoyed my massage and therapist because she was strong and rubbed out knots that was causing discomfort since I’m very active in exercising.

However, I took away a star for rating because after the service, I didn’t see the massage therapist again and I waited at the front desk wanting to give her a cash tip. But -
It was two new front desk people - one man, one woman (not same as when I came in).
The lady gave my receipt for when I paid before service and I saw my therapist name “Alice”. I told her I wanted to tip cash and she didn’t seem like she understood.
So I gave her the cash and receipt together but she didn’t acknowledge anything else. Her and the man started giggling but I’m not sure if it was anything to do with me.

I left feeling uneasy and wondering if Alice would receive the tip so I called.
The guy that answered was not helpful when I asked to speak to Alice, he insisted she wouldn’t understand English and when I told him to let her know I enjoyed her massage and left her tip, that I’ll be back to see her again - he said ok and hung up when I was saying thank you.

The woman at the front desk was very welcoming. She was patient with me when I was trying to decide what service I wanted to receive. I was not aware till after I left that they provide showers and other amenities.

I ended up getting a 60min Thai massage. The male masseuse really got into the knots. My only negative is that he was a bit too ruff. I would inform him to go easy and he would easy up but then go back to being too hard. But other than that, I would definitely go back again.

the massages are always exceptional!!! but: the last time I was there, I was expected to pay the tips BEFORE the massage.

I added 20% which I found appropriate as I had not received the massage yet and the day before the person I had, smelled like fried fish. they burped and coughed throughout the massage and I could smell the fish as they coughed close to my head. also when they massaged my face I could smell the strong fried fish odor...

I still went back the next day because the massages are always good nontheless. so I got my massage, which was very good but when I was done I was EXPECTED to increase the 20% tip I had given before the massage. I mean, ok the massage was great but handing me the receipt and demanding to change the tip amount the second I walked out of the massage room? that made me feel very uncomfortable.

that was not a nice move and I don't think I will come back for that reason.

Great place for messages. Got the 1 hr "relaxation message" deep tissue messages with good tension. The place is really nice and clean. I had a private room, the anesthetic looks so cool. The design brings a whole different experience. I would go back here again, but I live in the west coast.

The skilled therapists at Prosperous Paradise Spa are truly adept at their craft, and I found myself drifting away into a state of pure relaxation as they worked their magic. The ambiance of the treatment room was soothing, and every touch was expertly tailored to melt away tension and stress.

However, my positive experience was somewhat overshadowed by an unexpected price increase. During the massage, additional services were incorporated without prior discussion or consent. While these extras enhanced the overall experience, I was taken aback when I was informed of the price increase at the time of checkout. Clear communication regarding pricing adjustments would have been appreciated to avoid any surprises.

In conclusion, while the massage experience at Prosperous Paradise Spa was undeniably wonderful, there were some discrepancies in the amenities and pricing that detracted from the overall satisfaction. With improved transparency and consistency in their offerings, this spa has the potential to truly shine as a haven of relaxation and rejuvenation in the heart of Houston.

The masseuse's professional techniques accurately identified and relieved my body fatigue and soreness.
