I invested a lot of time into writing this review because I want to genuinely help anyone considering Ohlhoff. Having spent significant time in both the rooms and the office, I can provide a full perspective that might aid you in your decision-making process regarding sobriety and also a place I like to call my second home, Ohlhoff.

My experience in Ohlhoff recovery has been an incredible journey of growth and self-discovery. As someone who believes that we, as people, are always growing and evolving, I found it essential to approach my recovery with an open mind and a willingness to learn. This program gave me the opportunity to do just that.

I realized that part of this process was letting go of what I thought I knew and allowing the professionals here to guide me. Their expertise, care, and dedication made it clear that recovery is more than just overcoming addiction; it's about reshaping your mindset and embracing new perspectives.

The environment here fosters both learning and growth. While the lessons are serious and impactful, the program also knows how to balance that with engaging and supportive activities. This combination made my recovery feel both challenging and fulfilling.

If you're reading this review, know that you are capable of change. Trust the process, trust the professionals, and most importantly, trust yourself to embrace this journey. This program has truly been life-changing for me, and I'm leaving with a clearer understanding of myself and the tools to continue evolving.

This program incorporates your beliefs and experience while maintaining a hopeful and encouraging tone. If you or someone you know is contemplating taking this significant step toward sobriety, I highly recommend considering Ohlhoff. The supportive environment and dedicated staff can truly make a difference. I hope this review helps you or a loved one in making this life-changing decision.

I was a resident of this facility in 1999 to August 2000. This place saved my life. The director was very helpful in making me feel safe. My counselor was the best!!!. I'll always be grateful for the Henry ohloff house ?

This is the best rehab and recovery program I have found. I experienced bad and researched my ass off on rehabs. I prayed for the best program for me and I found it. The food is excellent! The counselors truly genuinely care and the director was caring and helpful and kind from the very beginning. I cant tell you how grateful I am to be at Ohlhoff and working a solid program and in the hands of caring professional therapists, counselors, director and staff. THIS IS THE BEST IN THE INDUSTRY! If you want positive results and have the desire to recover this is the place to be.

This program is run by only an all white staff that is terribly culturally incompetent. As a queer women with Latina roots I was gravely disappointed at the cultural appropriation demonstrated not only by the junior staff who are not currently licensed but by the program director Hillary who is the only licensed staff member. I was shocked and dismayed by the fact that Hillary was not open to constructive criticism regarding her staffs white dominance and cultural incompetence. They introduced an indigenous Hawaiian chant to group one day and I mentioned to the group that it was in fact cultural appropriation, however, it went completely unaddressed by the junior counsellors who seemed completely incompetent at handling conflict in a group therapy setting. Additionally, Hillary was defensive and unwilling to listen to critics regarding her staff. She refused to hear that her staff needed to increase their learning curve regarding cultural competence and assured me that they were in fact culturally competent when their actions reflected the exact opposite. Hilary's professionalism was compromised by her defensive nature. The program deeply disappointed me and it became clear that the program largely serves wealthy, heterosexual, white men. This is a great disappointment and is a disservice to society by creating barriers to care for the LGBTQ community and for people of color.
