Love this place. The staff is amazing and always very helpful and kind. Tony’s massages are amazing. I love how comfy their massage beds are and love that they’re heated if you like that. I love the soft music they play too. I also love that they have the hot stones and aromatherapy options, although I typically don’t pay extra for that. I’ve been getting massages here monthly I think for about 1.5-2 years. Their monthly membership has been worth every penny!

I have been getting regular massages for the past several years and came in to Massage Green-McKinney to use a gift card I got for Christmas. This was the worst massage experience I’ve ever had over the span of 5 years. I left the facility and was in tears from the physical and psychological pain inflicted upon me by the therapist named Maren. Please read below for the details of my 1-star experience. If you are Black/African-American or any person of color, I highly advise against receiving a massage from Maren.

My massage therapist, Maren, greeted me and her demeanor was very cold and unwelcoming. She didn’t seem to have reviewed my paperwork which was odd because I came in early to fill it out. No big deal as I reiterated my focus areas and areas to avoid. I shared that my focus areas were: neck and shoulders, forearms/wrists, right hip. I asked her to avoid my scalp and face.

The massage was barely mediocre and felt like getting a massage from a student rather than a trained licensed therapist. There was no technical skill involved and Maren didn’t seem to care about me feeling better than I came in.

The therapist did not ask me about the pressure in the beginning nor throughout. After about 15-20 minutes in, she asked me “you doing okay?” to which I instinctively replied "yes." No part of the service was okay. The pressure and timing was inconsistent throughout (not equal on both sides), and felt like she was just rubbing in massage cream with zero focus on the muscles. Not only did she ignore my focus area request, she pretty much skimmed over each zone and I felt either: uncomfortable pinching or literally nothing. I honestly wanted the service to be over right as it started.

She did not relieve any muscle tension from my neck/shoulders and kept resting her forearms on the back of my head which was uncomfortable and felt like a violation of my request when I asked her to not touch my scalp.

She did a lot of trigger point activation and pinching without actually releasing the muscle tension, and I’m in more pain than I came in with: specifically around my neck and shoulders. I now have to get a corrective massage to fix the pain I am in, when I did not even feel this bad before said massage with Maren.

Her draping was haphazard and lazy, and she didn’t adjust my arms or legs to effectively work on them nor to make sure I was comfortable back underneath the drape. She would undrape, spend a couple minutes on the area, then sloppily shove my limbs back underneath.

She also ended the massage a full 10 minutes early which was a ripoff, nonetheless, but the one good thing about the service as I didn't have to suffer through 10 more minutes of abuse. At the end of service, she did not lower the table for me to get down and left me in complete darkness (didn't adjust the lighting one bit) fumbling around to find my things.

The receptionist gave me a business card to write to management about my poor experience. I left Massage Green and was in tears by the time I got to my car. I was so looking forward to a therapeutic massage to feel better and, unfortunately feel worse. I am in both physical and psychological pain from being worked on by a therapist with no integrity for her profession and no care for her clients.

It is very important for me to note that I am a Black woman and Maren was undoubtedly unable to hide her racism. She literally didn’t want to touch me and I wish I had gotten up from the table instead of suffering through a degrading massage experience. Her energy, introduction, and "consultation" lacked genuine kindness, care, or informative guidance from a licensed professional standpoint.

Management gave me a call the following morning which I appreciate, but I don't wish to re-live such a dehumanizing experience that left me feeling so low and hurting. I would like my money refunded to me and some intervention for Maren if the business continues to keep her. Unfortunately, there is nothing that will convince or encourage me to return to Massage Green. Please proceed with caution when booking.

So I was trying infra red sauna..location was easy to find. Had a welcoming feel. A private room to relax and chill for your treatment. No shower facility which was disappointing. An hour is not enough to feel the sauna

Signed up for monthly membership on my 2nd massage. Place is very nice and good people both staff and massage therapists. The rates are unbelievably reasonable, so I leave a generous thank you tip. Go, your back and tired typing arms will thank you! And you can relax in the infrared sauna after your massage.

We got a couples massage as a gift and loved the customer service and massages here and will definitely come back! I had CJ and he did an amazing deep tissue massage- i would highlight recommend! The front desk were very friendly too!
