?It’s a sweet meet up with girlfriend for max. 2 hrs plus the booked treatment BUT
? if you a serious Finnish sauna fan, this place has NO dry sauna room, neither a cold plunge, nor a quiet relaxing, nor fresh air area.

?☺️Positive: +WOMEN ONLY, +comfortable sitting areas, + extensive offerings as treatments over 100$ + very girlie decorated with many mirrors, +great explanatory signs about the benefits, + mulberry tea basin, + infrared room, + Herbal V^^ steam chair (for ladies private parts). Seems made by woman for woman: + very friendly receptionist stuff. It felt like a waiting room for booked treatments.

?‍?️?What to improve: - full out loud conversations in relaxing rooms, - loud shooting treatments ladies opening doors and shouting numbers of the clients trying to find them - very disturbing. - tiny hot tub that fit just max. 3 ladies, the 4th came and water overflowed over the board.. - NO JETS in hot tub ! - weird smelling pink shower gel, - NO slippers, - small towels, - steam room not really hot, - In clay sauna - you had mats covered the clay balls… whole point is to get clay all over you, didn’t made sense. - Sunday afternoon very crowded. - NO VEGGIE DUMPLINGS ?left. It was 4pm, ppl reserved their dumplings for 6pm… come on… - one room was out of order. - poor maintenance. - in the way up on the second floor - in staircase some homeless left their lunch … sketchy area…
- my most disappointment: no hot sauna.
- I took some work to do… it’s a wrong place for it - no place for it, while in others places it was not a problem.
- it was weird to carry your shoes until your locker in your hand as receptionist asked us… - and the hairdryers been old - I didn’t properly dried my hair.

Hence: mixed feelings, I felt dirty & cold. 🙁

Save Your Money – Don’t Come Here!
I’ve been a loyal customer for years, spending a lot of money and recommending this place to others, but it’s completely gone downhill. The woman at the front desk is disgustingly rude. I waited 15 minutes for my scrub with no one attending to me, and when I asked about it, they finally gave me someone who gave me the worst scrub of my life. For $220, this place is an absolute joke. When I politely mentioned the scrub was bad, the lady at the front had the nerve to scream at me and tell me I was never welcome again! Keep in mind this was to a 16 year old child!! The lady also continued to scream want do I want from her multiple times. To which I responded nothing I was just letting u know because I've been coming here for years!!! Unbelievable. Not once did I raise my voice or act disrespectfully. This incident came at the perfect time because I was just about to do a review for my social medias, which have a lot of of supporters who now can know the truth. No one wanted any money just an apology for the poor service, and didn't even receive one.

The $30 hand massage? A four-year-old could do better. This place is a scam. Save your money and go somewhere where you’re treated with respect, not like an inconvenience. And honestly, the way they treated me makes me wonder if they’re racist, because I’ve never been treated like this before. Skip this place! Never coming back.

I’ve been a loyal customer here for over a year, regularly driving from Calabasas. Every visit, the same staff member has helped me, but today I had an experience that was both disappointing and unprofessional. The staff member, who has always been courteous in the past, refused to offer me a locker or a robe as she normally would. When I politely requested them, I was told they now come with an additional $20 fee.

I asked where I was supposed to store my purse and clothes, and to my surprise, they insisted this fee had always been in place, even though I’ve never been charged before. Their suggestion? I should carry my dirty clothes and purse around with me. This was not only impractical but felt completely unreasonable.

I’m extremely disappointed and won’t be returning after this experience. It’s disheartening when long-term customers are treated this way, and the service I used to appreciate has taken such a strange turn.

My usual spa was closed today so I had to try a new place. And I was so glad that I tried Hugh Spa among the couple of options in K town. It was pretty small but super clean and well organized everywhere. I loved charcoal room and ice room. Steam sauna was perfect to get sweaty. People working there are also very nice.
I can give 5 stars overall from my experience today.

Clean as other folks mentioned. Pretty small (only a few treatment rooms) but I loved the Jade Sauna and my scrub was extremely thorough. Well-priced and a great way to spend the afternoon on a sunday.

UPDATED 01/2024
Every time I visit Hugh Spa, I remind myself how much I really enjoy visiting this place and how I should come at least once a month. Fast forward a year later and Its on my New Years resolution list. LOL guess it’s better than nothing. Come on a week day, if you can – ample parking and no one around. Bring a book or something to keep you occupied and get your monies worth stay longer than 2-3 hours and do yourself a favor and get a wet massage! Nothing has changed, the customer service superb, always clean and when I come pretty quiet – except the newbies that love chatting it up like you’re not at a spa. If that’s you….. go to Wispa, it’s like a party in there! Anyways nothing new, except maybe updated food pricing. They only offer food Fri-Sun! Enjoy!

Need more info read my old review =)

I really hate that I have to share this place with other people! But it wouldn’t be fair to keep this hidden gem to myself. I’ve been coming to Hugh Spa for almost 8 years now, I was happy to hear they lived through the pandemic. It’s been a cool min since I’ve been back but word of mouth has spread. Came on a Wednesday morning and I was so surprised at how busy it was. Prior to the pandemic this place was pretty quiet but honestly, kudos to them, the more the merrier! Although their seemed to be a ton of people a lot of them were getting massages. Every time I was in a room there would only be my partner and maybe one other person. Hugh Spa has six rooms; Jade steam, clay ball, salt, oxygen, magnet and ice room. If you are unfamiliar with Korean spas; here are some tips
Before you go, decide whether you are comfortable to be naked in front of others. Or family and friends if you decide to invite them. The first thing you want to do is remove your clothing and put on whatever the spa offers you, it can be a robe or T-shirt and shorts. You must must (yes I said it twice) make sure you shower before going into any of the treatment rooms. I personally don’t wet my hair the first time around, I’ll do it when I have my second and final shower.
Ok your clean and in your robe; head to the jacuzzi and relax those muscles then head to the steam room- stay as long as you can. Dry off and make sure you are rehydrating before and after going into another room, there is complementary tea and water near the café. It is suggested you use each room for at least 10-20mins and after each room you want to go into the ice room too cool your body down, I try to stay in at least 15 mins but if you can only do 5 that’s fine, the last 10 mins head into the oxygen room. Do this till you have been in all the rooms. Oh and get a massage, its well worth it. Remember you will be naked if you decide on a wet massage but hot damn, that’s the best massage ever!

I went early Saturday morning - pretty much right when it opened and had the luxury and enjoying most areas by myself or with very few people. If you're not use to it, there's nothing more awkward than sitting 2 feet across from another naked lady.

They have a decent amount of rooms that you can relax in and I was surprised at how quickly the time passed. They have a salt room, mud room, steam room, infrared sauna, ice room... If you're completely lost, they have a phamplet to guide you the order of the rooms you go to and for how long. I also paid extra to do the salt scrub. They lady gets really into it, but you come out feeling really clean and refreshed and dead skin cell free. They also do a facial and wash your hair for you.

Overall, I didn't think I could spend that much time by myself, but I enjoyed everything and had a relaxing time.
