We had a great stay! The cottage was clean and spacious. The grounds were beautiful with all the plants and butterflies. Located close to downtown but on a quiet street. The free breakfast was nice and we enjoyed the patio. The restaurant was pretty good too. A couple suggestions: the soap dispensers in the shower weren't labeled so we didn't know what was what. Also, when we arrived the cottage had a very strong peppermint smell and the windows didn't open to air out the room. Maybe tone down the scents or offer an option to opt out upon booking? Being able to crack a window would be nice for those of us who have sensitive noses!

We had an amazing brunch at their restaurant, staff were friendly and food was great. Their restaurant is really well decorated and also extremely kids friendly, they offer a special menu, high chairs and crayons for them to stay entertained while adults eat.

I recommend making an online reservation specially during weekends. They have a great indoor and outdoor area.

The Cinnamon Roll is great and the Salmon Egg Toast too.

Melt-in-your-mouth steaks!! Went for dinner with friends for steak night (Fridays & Saturdays - we went on a Saturday around 6ish). Miguel was super attentive, the presentation in our cocktails and meals were beautiful!! I got the prime rib medium rare, seasonal veggies, and forbidden black rice. The entire staff was attentive- our water glasses never fell below the halfway point. Reservations are recommended (I see why) but they were able to accommodate us our group of four.

I recently had the pleasure of dining at Herb Garden in Fredericksburg, and it was a wonderful experience from start to finish. The atmosphere was inviting, surrounded by lush greenery, which made for a perfect escape from the weekend hustle.

The food was absolutely delicious! Every dish tasted incredibly fresh, with vibrant flavors that clearly reflected the farm-to-table approach. The ingredients felt thoughtfully selected, and the freshness really elevated the entire meal. Whether you’re looking for a light lunch or a heartier dinner, there’s something for everyone here. Great day at the Herb Garden Restaurant. We rented part of the restaurant for a baby brunch shower for 45 people. They were so easy and accommodating to work with and the brunch food platters and mimosa bar were just perfect! Staff was so nice from start to end. Highly recommend them as an option for a small personal or corporate gathering.

Incredible. This was my first time in Fredericksburg and this place was the best part of the whole trip. I had low expectations for the restaurant, but this place was better than any restaurant in town. Everything was cooked perfectly and the staff was super friendly. You can tell they want you to have a great experience. The butterflies flying around and the flowers everywhere made the whole area seem magical in comparison to the surrounding area. I will absolutely be back!

Quaint and charming property with an excellent restaurant. The spa had limited appointments but is an oasis for sure, especially their relaxation room. A bit on the pricey side but would highly recommend.
The cottage room was decorated with cute knick knacks and the breakfast basket was a nice touch. Since the area has a lot of trees and bushes, look out for bugs. It is very close to downtown area but away from all the noise.
Would definitely visit again!

The Herb Garden Restaurant is such a cozy gem! The beautiful outdoor garden feels like a little paradise, full of butterflies and a peaceful atmosphere that’s perfect for relaxing. We ordered chai tea, which was absolutely perfect, and the poached eggs with salmon were cooked to perfection. The staff was incredibly warm and welcoming, making the whole experience even better. Highly recommended!
