A couple of the nurses are very professional and seemed compassionate but the majority had zero compassion. My mother had a stroke now she has some neurological problems and she lost her vision. I asked them several times to please help her eat if no family member was there but they still continued to just drop her tray off and leave the room so in other words she did not get to eat. It got so bad I lost my job so I could be there to feed her. They also never gave her a bath so I had to clean her. They never came when she pushed the call button when she needed to use the restroom so needless to say she would have accidents and they would yell at her because she couldn't find the restroom on her own. One of the nurses pushed my mother down and messed her hand and arms up pretty bad I did take photos of it but unfortunately since she can't see she couldn't show me what nurse did that to her. She was only there to get physical therapy for 3 weeks because of the stroke and that was a joke also. I will never send her back there again she literally came home with PTSD because of that place. For about a week she was scared one of the nurses would show up I had to reassure her they will not be coming to my house. I would honestly love to get a job there as a manager and straighten this place out and get rid of those nurses who are only there for a paycheck. Nobody should have to worry 24/7 how there family member is being treated. I know a lot of places are like this and it's sad we need to protect our eleders.

Just wanted to comment on the great support and advice I received from the business manager, Shaliza. She helped me a lot with her knowledge and guidance.
As for the rehab facility, other than a few minor issues, my wife and I were satisfied with the facility. My wife loved the food.

My mom has been at this facility for 4 yrs. And I just want to give a shout out a few people here that are working to fix some of the issues. This is not a bash review. There are issues here but there’s a few staff members that really are trying their best to listen & help. 1st Emily Chastain who’s always pleasant & helpful anytime I’ve had a problem. She checks in on my mom daily and helps her to feel heard. Emily also comes up with some awesome & fun activities like recently letting the residents make their own pudding ( no cooking involved) and my mom truly enjoyed it. And that’s so important to and she really appreciates that extra concern and willingness to go above & beyond when there’s a problem, as do I & my family. There’s also Maritza in Emily’s department that is also pleasant & caring and always has a smile & hello. Lisa my mom’s day time nurse listens when there’s an issue and if she doesn’t know the answer she will direct you to the right person. Lisa has a personal relationship with my mom and has watched over her and we the family feel she really cares and we can count on her. New to the facility is Mary my mom’s day time floor manager. Marys still learning and getting to know the place & people but she has already shown she is taking the job seriously and will treat our concerns with care & accountability. Also want to mention the facility is keep clean & bad odors are addressed and taking care of. Lastly the male receptionist I apologize I don’t know his name but he always has a smile & helping hand. So while this facility has some things to iron out mainly the training of the CNA’s and their daily activities & accountability it’s got some truly amazing & caring staff also.

Everyone is always friendly and greets us coming and going. The individuals living here have not had a negative thing to say about the facility. The food always seems to be good and the rooms are clean.

My mom has stayed at Highlands 3 times this year as a respite patient. The staff is professional and friendly. The many times I've called to check on my mom I was able to get good feedback.

My husband and I have only been there once to visit a dear friend so far. She said they treated her well. While there, we asked for assistance and the young lady help in a timely manner and had a cheerful disposition. We were acknowledged and welcomed by several staff members. The place seems warm and inviting, professional, but down to earth.
