The people here are absolutely amazing. They took such great care of my aunt. She is not the easiest to work with and they were so patient with her. The social workers and nursing team were so great at communicating with us. The therapy staff were so patient with her and did such a great job and getting her back to her old self. We truly appreciate the great care you provided her. We've been to other facilities in the area, but none of them provided the outstanding level of care that we got at Glenburnie. This is the definitely the place to send your loved one.

I had a wonderful experience at Glenburnie Rehab and Nursing Center. I have been here for several months doing rehab and occupational therapy. I enjoyed a lot of my time working with the team. The team was awesome. They really encouraged me to do exercises to stay in shape and to keep my strength. I want to mention Mackenzie, Lauren, Eric and his snakes, and the social services team (Annie and Sarah). The first time I saw Mackenzie (PT), she was very enlightening and she lifted my spirits when I was down. She never doubted me and she always said there is a chance to get better. I will always love and adore her. Lauren (OT) is a very caring human being and would never hurt a fly so I know she wouldn't hurt me. During my time in occupational therapy, she was very patient and understanding. She gave me her all to help me achieve my goals. She is very loving and kind. Thanks, Lauren, you're the best! I never thought that I would be interested in snakes until I met Eric (PT). It really changed my mind about animals due to I used to be afraid of them. There was a change of heart when I first held one. I appreciate Eric for his snakes and for helping me get over my fears. Social Services has really helped me challenge my health issues and what I struggle with as far as my housing. They really are a caring team and they take care of what's needed, and will never stop until it's done. I appreciate the hard work and effort that social services has done. I just want to say thanks for everything.

My mother in law is currently at this facility and I am disgusted about how the staff treats the residents. The staff doesn’t speak when they come in or introduce themselves. The techs leave the door & curtain open while changing & cleaning her.
The second day she was here, my mother in law used the bathroom on herself. When she pressed the nurse bell, 10 minutes later the tech can and turned it off. She told her that she would come clean her up after she finished taking care of another patient up the hall and she would make her way down her way. The two therapists came into see her and she told them that she was sitting in feces and they cleaned her up. They also noticed that she was bleeding from her rectum so she was transported to the hospital.

The staff stand in the hallway most of the time laughing and joking instead of helping the residents.

When her food is brought to her it’s always cold. They are also being fed sandwiches for lunch and dinner. Which I’m pretty sure her insurance is not aware they are paying for sandwiches.

All of this has been confirmed by her roommate Denise. LeLarne, myself, and my husband (her son) would like her transported to another rehabilitation center.

Last Friday, September 13, 2024, my husband and I drove 1.5 hours to facility because my mother-in-law was supposed arrive back from the hospital at 3pm. We arrived at 6pm and she was just leaving the hospital. I asked about speaking to a case manager to have her transferred to another facility and was told that she had already left for the day. She provided the director, assistant director, and the social workers cards and I email them prior to leaving the facility about my concerns. I have not received a response email. I contacted them on 9/18/24 and the receptionist told me that the social worker would call me back that day. Since I never got a call, I called again today (9/19/24) and got no response. I called back and advised that if I did not speak with one of those individuals, my next call would be to adult protective services.

After speaking with both speech therapist and nurse practitioner there seems to be a communication issue with follow through. We all decided that my mother would fare better with an air mattress since she has skin breakdown on her buttocks. Didn’t happen. The staff also wanted her to have a soft nurse call button since she doesn’t possess the strength to push the regular button if she needs assistance. Didn’t happen. The nurse practitioner said she would get the catheter removed. Didn’t happen. My mother didn’t receive her eye medication which is troubling since she is blind in the other eye. My other concern is that of food to which she is only able to eat minced but is given bigger pieces subsequently causing a choking hazard. My mother is able recall EVERYTHING and let’s us know what goes on when we aren’t there so don’t get confused by the paranoid psychosis disorder (dementia) she does not suffer from Alzheimer’s. Her memory is intact she is fully aware of what is going on around her. We hope with your support that she is able to regain mobility and look forward to working with your staff but the only way this can happen is if there is better communication and follow through between all levels of medical staff.

This one star rating is not for the facility it's for one of the employees, the admissions manager. I had a virtual appointment and one of the employees didn't show up so I decided to just pop up to the facility the next day like I do at any facility to ensure it is a safe and clean place for my love one. Well, she got smart mouth with me by saying if I had an appointment she could see me. If your organization is not honoring virtual what make me think your going to honor in person. Needless to say I got a tour from another employee. The facility is nice but I found a better one with better customer service and high end. Employees are the face of the organization, they should due better at this place. Run don't walk from this place due to bad customer service and smart mouths.

Very caring staff in all departments. The CNAs kept my room straight and took good care of me, as did all of the nurses and doctors. The rehab team were excellent, they were very focused on your recovery. The food was great! The main thing I liked was the freedom of movement and the receptionists were very friendly.

This place needs to be closed down. I started working there.
2 days working on the floor very unclean hallways
The patient rooms floors shower rooms very dirty and unorganized Personal care 2 patients stated to me that they were not bathed
30 days after admission to this facility. Also
Passing of meal trays the meal cart was unclean with a sour order all patient drinks was warm .No AC in the hallway very uncomfortable place to work a lot of unclean areas and a lot of ants crawling on patient lunch trays left in room until evening. I have had my nurse license 20 years and this is the worst facility I have worked in ..THE DOORS NEED TO BE CLOSED
