Making the difficult decision to place my grandmother in a nursing facility was daunting; however, we were relieved to find that this place met our standards. While no place is perfect, it fulfilled our needs at the time. My grandmother may not be the easiest patient, but she received care and respect, and the staff knew her and our family well. Our visits were always met with kindness and respect. She enjoyed sitting in the garden to read and participated in the monthly activities, which included gardening, arts and crafts, movies, outings, and much more. Making the decision to place our loved ones in care is always difficult. Therefore, it's crucial to do your due diligence and seek guidance through prayer; that's my advice.

I had to pull my mother out of a facility that was the "Twilight Zone" without professional staff after-hours and screaming hysterical incontinent patients.
Gainesville accepted her the next day and I am so impressed at the wonderful atmosphere and attentiveness of the center, which has a southern charm. They have nice activities and the food is good! Thankfully, my mother is on the mend, she is kept clean and safe, which gives me peace of mind until she can come back home. There is always a RN on duty and not all facilities require this. Nick and Lydia are very wonderful and caring, I cannot compliment this facility enough and have told many of my friends who have elderly loved ones.

Quality customer service from the receptionist to the administrator, DON/ADON, HR and unit manager. Each and everyone made me feel welcome at Gainesville Health and Rehabilitation Center. I just want to say “Thank you and it was a privilege to be there at the facility”

Gainesville Health & Rehab Center is truly a five star facility - very clean, wonderful staff (friendly, kind, attentive, knowledgeable). My dear, dear friend who I visit often raves about the level of care and service she receives at every level with every interaction. Highly recommended

The facility itself is average and most rooms seemed to be shared rooms. The nursing staff managers are very nice and there are some wonderful nurses at this facilty. I felt the PT staff simply went through the motions and did not really have goals mapped out for my elderly mother which was concerning. However, if you need assistance from the social worker, they are the best! Ms Olaf and Kim Kennedy we’re amazingly helpful, with great communication. Ms Kennedy didn’t just send my mom out the door, instead, she helped devise a get well discharge plan involving PT and an assistant. Without them, I would rate this place lower.

If I could give this Facility a 0 star, I surely would. If you care anything about your aging relatives DO NOT LEAVE THEM HERE!! The nurses and staff do not care about the patients, I witnessed on several occasions when the patients were totally ignored when asking for assistance by the staff. They just walked past as if they didn't even notice them. The facility is old and run down and has a strange odor upon entering. It does not give a sense of confidence that the people you love are being treated the way they should. They lack judgement and do not hold any accountability for the care and well being of your loved ones. All you will receive is one excuse after another when you notice that the facility is not being ran properly. Do what's best for your aging parent and take them elsewhere to receive the proper medical care. Nasty staff with poor working conditions and transfers their poor attitude to the residents. A Medical Tech aggressively spoke to my ailing mother with a nasty demeanor while asking for assistance . When confronted about her actions, she totally denied it. If you have someone to you care about, go visit on a regular basis to visit to see how the care is not being provided to those that are paying top dollar to be there. It's pitiful and cold hearted and absolutely ridiculous!! DO NOT LEAVE ANYONE THAT YOU CARE ABOUT HERE. You have been warned!!

My mother has dementia and has become nonverbal. She is always clean, well groomed and smiling when I go to visit her. The care at Gainesville Health & Rehab is exceptional, and the staff there should be commended.
