The Family Hope Center has been God-sent in our family life. After my son lost his speech and all the other skills at the age of two, he was seen by different specialists, psychologist, neurologist, and psychiatrist, …, who told us that there was no treatment. After searching for a few years, we found the Family Hope Center. At that time, my son’s condition was extremely severe. He had no speech and zero eye contact, after years of early intervention, special ed, and private therapy. His hyperactivity was so severe that he could not sit still for 5 minutes. His impaired sensory caused a lot of behavioral issues at home and in public. He had difficulty falling asleep and staying asleep. The multi-disciplinary team at the Family Hope Center evaluated my son and designed a plan of care for us to follow. Every six months we go back to them for his re-evaluation. The FHC team would update the plan of care/road-map for the next 6 months for us. It involves a wholistic approach of neurological programming with vitamins and mineral supplements, and oxygen treatment. It is very hard work day in and day out. But, the reward is very sweet. The treatment has totally changed the lives of my son and my family. A few short years after we started the treatment, my son was able to attend concerts at Carnegie Hall and Lincoln Center! Imagine the same guy who could not sit still for 5 minutes and was being chased every moment could now sit through 2-3 hours and totally enjoyed a Tchaikovsky’s orchestra concert! During the past years, we have traveled all over the country visiting national parks and historic museums. My son enjoyed the trips tremendously. He helped planning, preparing, and packing his own luggage. Last year, we made five air trips for leisure and family medical emergency. He was totally on the same page with me. We were so fortunate to visit Alaska and Hawaii. Both of those trips we took cruise ships, we flew in twin-engine and single-engine planes. My son not only did not have any issues but he thoroughly enjoyed the experiences. One of the highlights of our trip to Hawaii was to visit the Pearl Harbor. It had been my dream for decades but I had given up due to my son’s condition. I was so thankful for the FHC that I could fulfill that dream.
The Family Hope Center is the most efficient practice we have ever encountered. Every team member is extremely compassionate and kind. They treat their patients and family like their own. We can reach them by phone or stop-in at any time throughout the year without having to pay for the extra call, visits, or advice. The team treats a lot of patients here in the Unites States and in other countries. Many months in a year, they travel to Asia, Europe, and the Americas to treat patients who are too injured to travel to the center. Many years, the Team would travel to those countries on Christmas and New Year’s days. They spent numerous major holidays overseas treating other people’s children/adult children while their own family and children were home alone. Their passion demonstrates their mission which is to save every individual they treat with brain injuries and make their lives and their family lives the best possible. As a healthcare provider myself, I have learned so much more from the FHC that I had not learned from college. I have also applied what I learned from the FHC to my own life and my practice. Many of my patients have benefited from them. To my son, me, and my entire family, the FHC has been part of our family life.
If you have a special needs child and have tried different places/treatments that have not worked, like we had been, consider the FHC! I would like to leave you with one of my proudest moments: watching my son walk through the suspension bridges on hiking trails in national parks. Thank you, everyone at the Family Hope Center!

The staff here "gets" what it's like to have a special needs child who doesn't "look" special needs to everyone else. Being a parent and learning what was happening on a neurological level with my child was crucial to helping me complete the necessary training at home. Without a doubt, my child would not be able to drive or keep a job had he not completed the thorough brain healing program put together by the staff at the Family Hope Center. There is a lot of hard work to be done at home, but life was already hard in different ways. I highly recommend their program and team.

Our family and our son have been involved with the Family Hope Center for 12 years. We have traveled from Alaska many times to visit this team that we trust. We keep going back because they are only people we have found that fully understand our son, his diagnosed condition (cerebral palsy), and provide a path towards recovery in all areas of his life (nutrition, social and emotional, physical, tactical, hearing and understanding, seeing and reading, etc.) instead of treating him as a lost cause, like most other medical professionals we have visited. No one is ever prepared to have a child with special needs, but the insight and understanding that the FHC team have provided us helps us to make the most of our every day lives.

The Family Hope Center is the very best decision you can make for your child with special needs. The Family Hope Center staff educates and empowers parents to provide the best possible prognosis for your child. The parent training program provides you with all of the information you need to begin the program and change your child's life. The two day intensive may be expensive but when you break it down over the six months it ends up being around $150/week which may not be cheap - but is definitely worth it if you can find a way. I have done thousands of hours of research on neuro development and I could not be more impressed with the comprehensive program that the Family Hope Center provides.

My husband and I came to the Family Hope Center after our infant son sustained a brain injury. We were blown away by the amount of information we were taught and were able to download during their parent training course. In just a few days, the course covers a vast amount of material: the development of the brain, the different areas of the brain, and how each area of the brain is impacted by influences like nutrition, sensory input, and injury. The course wasn't just a tutorial in the anatomy of our son's brain, but a priceless set of insights into why we should care about aspects and functions of his brain that we had never thought about before. The Family Hope Center team advised us on the most basic shifts we could make in our home environment--from preparing nutrient-dense meals to cleaning our home, air and water to even how we interacted/played with our son for sensory input. We found this direction on changing our home environment to be extremely valuable, and they are simple changes that anyone and everyone should do to optimize their health, especially when a family member is healing from a brain injury. We recommend the Family Hope Center to any family needing support for their child's recovery from a neurological condition.

The Family Hope Center helps families with kids with special needs to face their life in a different way. Nobody promises miracles, but if you follow the program consistently, the results come out. Our kids are special in every aspects of their life, so, when you solve a problem,...a new one is around the corner. The staff also supports parents to not give up, even when everything seems to be lost. My son has had consistent improvements in many areas, starting from a very severe injury. The most important thing is that he's a happy young man, not frustrated (even if, being "normal", bad periods can show up!)

We were recommended Family Hope Center from someone we know, who also at that point was a part of that program. We went for the 3-day parental course and did not regret going there. Our son has down syndrome and this program has changed him so much for the better. He functions at a much higher level than before. It is pricey, but defenitely worth every penny. Every time we go for a revisit we are so happy to see every change he has made. The program is tailored at every single childs need. I highly recommend Family Hope Center! ?
