The people here are warm and friendly, just the most positive attitudes of any medical facilities. Everyone, from security guards to therapists. I have had 5 back surgeries and in and out of a lot of places. This is by far the best one. I had some issues with the diet. Kiddy meals, see photos. I lost 4 pounds, from 198 to 194, at first. I'm 6 feet tall. Not there to lose weight. They fixed it after 3 days. See the full plate of chicken tenders. Great! Moreover, I had concerns about the lack of medical devices, an AFO, that was my size. It took 2 days to resolve that, but it was resolved satisfactorily. I was there to REST & RECUPERATE, and I did so. At 8 am they wanted me to do PT. I did not like that time, switched to afternoon, no problem. If I had to take my mother somewhere, this would be my first choice.

I had never heard of Guillain-Barre syndrome before, and then the neurologists explained that the paralyzing symptoms I had been experiencing were a result of this autoimmune condition. I was fortunate to receive my rehabilitation therapies at Encompass Health Rehabilitation Hospital. It took optimism and grit to get through this journey, but I persevered with the intentional care of my therapy team. My physical therapists, Ellen and Meghna, tailored my sessions to refine my balance, muscle tone, stability and mobility. Meghna had high expectations, and Ellen was a joy and a motivator. Laney, my speech therapist, not only strengthened the muscles in my mouth and tongue, but also improved my ability to speak clearly. I looked forward to Laney’s smile and upbeat attitude. My occupational therapist, Katie, helped me with basic day to day functions, which I will not take for granted. Thank you team. Living life is a gift. I know that I still have a long road ahead of me, but I am grateful for my recovery and the people that helped me achieve that.

I recently had the pleasure of being cared for at Encompass Dallas after suffering a fall at my home. The entire staff was exceptionally knowledgeable and encouraging throughout my stay. Their attentiveness and genuine compassion assisted my recovery every bit as much as the skilled and effective physical therapy I received there. I highly recommend this facility. Each member of the staff has my eternal gratitude.

I have never met a whole facility that is so loving and family oriented. The therapists are amazing. Wound care is awesome. Techs , nurses, kitchen, administrators, security I mean the whole facility and employees give their very best to keep residents healed and healthy. Thanks for all your dedication and support.

My experience here was exceptional, my therapy team was immaculate, who ever runs the kitchen definitely knows what their doing. I met some great people from nurses to residents on my floor. I would love to speak to someone from the grey team, let them know I had my skull reattached in June, I'm on the road to a full recovery, I did go back to work at the end of December, so when I return to work this time, I'm there to stay, no more surgeries I really thank this hospital staff for everything even going out the way to fond an outpatient rehabilitation for me

The physical therapy here is outstanding. The food isn't much to write home about. But I was told it is being addressed. They got me from not being able to stand up for more than a few seconds to walking up to 300ft in 1 week and a Half. Another great thing is your friends and family can stay over night with you. Visiting hours from 8am-8pm. They're very attentive and put your needs first. I would highly recommend. Just bring some money for doordash if you're like me and need some food with a little "Umph".

Pros: Excellent and attentive OT and PT, Family can stay with you, staff of nurses, techs, Sanitary, etc. is available 24/7. Close by Cindy's and a few stores, smoking area.

Cons: okay food, close to Green Oaks mental hospital.

All I can say is that I am so grateful to God for Encompass! I won't share my long drawn out story, but I will share this! I had been released from another hospital without proper care for home setup. I had been going through so much it became overwhelming! I was rushed out to another hospital where they promised after hearing my struggles that they would get me the help that I need. So through them I was introduced to Encompass and I was denied the first time only because they don't accept Medicaid. However God worked it out where I was accepted through my health coverage from my job! I was so elated! So let me tell you how great my experience here was. From the doctors on down to the housekeepers I was treated with respect! They make you feel welcome and even encourage you when you can't yourself. I have witnessed this with others around me, I was perfectly able to keep myself encouraged all the time. The therapists are phenomenal and dedicated to help you improve! And they will definitely push you beyond your limits and if you can't handle it let them know. They will work with your level of comfort. I so loved being here and really hated that my time had to come to an end. To my case manager Hillary, she really helped me get setup for my discharged home. I have so many shout outs, but I will just give to all the hospital staff. Now the only bad thing I can say is regarding the food and cafeteria. They definitely need to work on that area, because patients need food to maintain their energy and strength to endure therapy. Not all patients will have family or money to get outside food. But if the kitchen answer the phone they will accommodate you with something else if you are not satisfied with what they give you. But that is it and I will definitely be back to volunteer to be of encouragement to their future patients! Encompass Health Rehabilitation Hospital of Dallas, I am going to miss you all and keep up the awesome work of helping others to regain their independency!! I will give a 100 stars to you all!!
