Modern community centre located on the east side of Markham. It has a gym, pool, library and auditorium. Free parking if you stay under 3 hours.

During the pandemic, this place was a vaccine clinic. Surreal times.

I want to commend Carmina for her exceptional customer service. When I presented her with a blue 2-for-1 pass, she explained that the City no longer accepts it because it had expired. While I appreciate her expelling policy, I pointed out that it had no expiration date listed on the pass nor any disclaimer that terms were subject to change. As well, this is probably illegal not to accept it. She rectified the problem to my satisfaction.

I recently visited the Cornell Community Centre and was impressed with both the swimming pool and library facilities. The pool area is clean, well-maintained, and offers a variety of options including lap lanes, a leisure pool, and water features for kids. The staff were friendly and attentive to safety.

The library is modern and spacious, with a great selection of books, comfortable seating areas, and helpful librarians. I appreciated the quiet study spaces and the children's section which seemed very engaging for young readers.

Overall, the centre provides excellent recreational and educational services for the community. The facilities are top-notch and the staff are professional. Whether you're looking to swim, read, or both, Cornell Community Centre is a great resource for Markham residents. Highly recommended!

This was a nice community center. The staff at the gym was extremely nice and welcoming. The gym itself was okay, it has everything you need, but some of the equipment definitely shows it's age, such as the racks and plates

Took my daughter for the first time at this community centre for her swimming class. I was really surprised to see how clean it was. The staff and instructors are all super nice, my daughter loved the lessons. Parking is free if you get the ticket banister from staff.

The badminton court was spacious however the floor was a bit slippery. The swimming pool and change rooms are relatively clean however it ridiculous how the pricing is always inconsistent. The first time we went we were charged around $6 for two people (ages: 13, 15) however when we went the week after we were charged $10. When I got home I looked up the pricing online (to see if it had increased) and saw that they had charged us adult prices. I called customer service and was told that they would pass on our information to their supervisor however it’s been a week and they still have not contacted me. We went again today and was charged $8 since apparently 15 year olds are now considered adults (even though on the website it says 16 and up).

Don’t send your kids swimming there. There are seven or eight kids to one instructor so your child gets an average of 3 minutes attention per class. They will fail you and make you take the same level over and over again. And if you have any complaints, they treat you very unprofessionally. Other swim schools in the area are a bit more expensive, but worth the money because they actually care about kids.

Wow! I am very impressed with this community Center. The library, amazing! I wished I lived in Markham, but alas I’ll have to settle for Scarborough.

The only thing I dislike is that fact you have to pay for access to most of the activities in Markham. I have been told it is cheaper to get a monthly pass of around 50-60 CAD for access to everything.
