My sister was taken there and I was never notified of any changes in her condition, she passed away and still wasn’t notified by the facility but through hospice no phones calls where never made letting me know of her health deteriorating so she could have family members by her side . Not once have I seen facility who so unwelcoming or helpful during a visit nor call lights being answered in a timely manner getting through to facility was also a nightmare. My sister had some issues with some the care provided but was told they look into and instead was brushed off. My biggest mistake was not bringing her home the first day of visiting her there. My last conversation with her was please come something wrong and there listening to me.

I’m not sure why the latest google reviews are reading the way they do, (may be disgruntled employees) but I want to talk about my experience. Colonial health and rehab has really turned around with the new management and Beecan taking over. The staff is very helpful with all the residents. I always see staff interacting with residents and truly caring for their needs when I am there. The residents are actually happy at this facility and you can see that throughout the facility and always interacting in activities. I also really appreciate the CEO, Melodie, I see her out with the residents and interacting with her staff which shows me that this staff truly care about the people here. She has always helped me with anything I have asked for.

The way they treat their patients is so inhumane and disrespectful. The RN Jennifer is so unprofessional and disrespectful to patients. When you mention anything to her she talks down to you, she refuses to help the patients because it's beneath her. She is close friends with the administrator who allows these actions to go on. Patients arent getting a bath and rooms aren't getting maintained. This woman needs to be fired immediately. She also talks down to and belittles other nurses.

Do not send your loved ones to this facility.

If you are a Healthcare professional, do not try to get a job here.

How Disrespectful of you to make patients go to bathroom in trash bags. How is facility disposing of waste. All patients should get 6 month no payments from private pay or Medicaid. They should be shut down. My Grandma died in your Facility back in 1986, things haven't changed. I had to make that decision to put spouse in SNF & at least they have working plumbing as far as I know.

My mother is 98, she is blind. The staff is so wonderful to and with her. She does PT daily and enjoys it. The facilities are kept clean and maintained. I feel very secure with my mom's care. I appreciate all the staff and what they do for my mom.

My dad that’s stayed here for a couple of weeks now. The building looks a run down but has a lot of character to it. The staff are amazing, from the first day it was apparent, the way I saw the staff talk to one another, the way the staff talked to the residents there, I could definitely tell that they have a good positive atmosphere. My dad is very picky with nurses and treatment, so it’s a big deal when he has nothing bad to say about this place treatment of him. Also, he has gotten better from his stay here, compared to a different rehab center that’s beautiful and fancy on the outside but lack the care needed. This place may not look new, but the people, and little things they do to make things more comfortable for the patients makes it ? awesome!

My wife was a resident at Colonial Columns for several months, and eventually I relocated her to new place in Woodland Park. I have to say that I am sad to relocate her because of the absolutely wonderful staff at Colonial Columns. I can say, without a doubt, that she had excellent care there. The nurses, and all of the staff seemed to go out of their way to get to know her, help her with all of her needs, and treat her with real class, respect, and professionalism. I know that it is not easy to deal with people with serious limitations, but the people there have demonstrated a caring attitude that is obvious to all of us who come in contact with them. The staff has often gone out of their way to assist me and my daughter with whatever our needs were, while extending the best of care to my wife. I will be forever grateful for this wonderful group of people who made a difficult situation much easier to handle.
