Won't let you make appointments! Have had to change gp practice following new system to book appointments where I would check the booking web-page everyday for weeks to see that it will never be a day where the practice is accepting new appointments. Very disappointing as all the medical staff I had interacted with here were great.

If you’re at university and need a doctor I wouldn’t bother going here. Since the introduction of anima, you’d find it more useful going to the vets to get a diagnosis. Can’t book an appointment after closing hours using the app. App is useless and so are the staff. Go to a vets

I’ve been with this GP since 2016. I recently graduated and was told that I would have to leave the service. I’m in the middle of appointments for several things and when I spoke to a GP a few weeks ago about being removed she said that they wouldn’t just remove me - she laughed at the idea as if it was ridiculous. Soon after this appointment I received a text message saying that they were going to proceed with removing me off their patient list and when I called reception to ask about it, I was told that there had been no note put onto my account to say that I needed to be kept on but they said they would put a note on themselves.

I was asked to make some follow-up appointments this month so I called today to do so and was informed that I had been removed from their service. They did not notify me of this and I had absolutely no idea until I called. I know that services like this are busy but I can’t believe that they would treat me like this after being with them for 6 years. Also, I was told that the reason I was ultimately removed is because I fall outside of their practice area even though I live literally two blocks away.

New appointment request system makes it difficult to book an appointment as there are limited slots. However, when you are finally able to it’s a great little system.

The reception office was not helpful regarding my health problem and they were rude overall. They advised me to go the broad lane walk in clinic, after refusing a GP urgent appointment, where they could not help with my health condition and I had to wait for 6 hours to see the nurse. After all I finally got a gp to see me via the online app.

The reception team are always friendly here, I’ve never had any problems getting an appointment and I’ve been a patient here for 7 years now.

Some of the doctors lack in empathy regarding mental health but this is a nationwide problem not just limited to this surgery.

just wanted to come on and sing my praises about Dr Barnsley!

i was nervous about a new GP practice moving to uni but she has been an amazing GP that goes above and beyond. she is great at communicating but most of all she is a knowledgeable and hugely compassionate doctor that will not neglect you. not once have i felt silly or unheard in my appointments with her.
she has helped me with medication, referrals, and is a great doctor if you are a woman, neurodivergent, or queer.
Dr Barnsley is patient, empathetic, and open to keep learning as medicine advances or if you have your own suggestions for your care.

i can only hope if i move in the future i will have half the GP i have today!

Far better than the practice in my hometown. The staff here are attentive, caring and have escalated issues that my previous doctors neglected to take seriously, and they seem genuinely empathetic and extremely professional. Appointment wait times are very good considering the current issues the NHS face, too. I feel heard and well taken care of here, with measures being out in place to ensure that my health concerns are addressed. I’ve also been here for minor procedures such as the meningitis vaccine I had - it was organised very quickly over email, carried out a short while later and it was all a very pleasant experience as vaccinations go.

I have had some occasional difficulty reaching them on the phone, this is a universal issue across the NHS. I can’t say it has ever stopped me from accessing the service as it is so close to my accommodation, but do bear this in mind when calling during peak hours.
