Attended Centre in the Square for the first time last night to see Hotel California. The venue is fantastic! There truly isn’t a bad seat in the house. We had a great view from the balcony and the seats were so comfortable. You definitely don’t feel cramped. The employees were friendly and helpful. Very organized from parking to the show. It took no more than 10 minutes to leave the underground parking and be on our way ! Will definitely return !

What a great venue!!! Good acoustics, no bad seats at all. Parking and getting to the building was a bit of a tussle, but big events are never easy, so overall, would love to see another show here.

We went here to see Post modern jukebox on their #PMJtour. Loved every minute of it. I am a part time electric wheelchair user and everyone here was so friendly and helpful. The washroom was amazing with plenty of space to roll around. All the sinks were roll up with no barrier. Very nice feature. The accessible seats are eye level to the stage making it very easy to see. All around great experience.

Parking situation is horrible and very limited plus it's cash only so if all you have is debit or credit you are screwed. Expect to walk a block if arrive really really early but if not early you might be walking 5 blocks! Washrooms are a disgrace being gender neutral so very uncomfortable for majority of people. How they expect woman to use the same facility as men walking in and out is pretty unbelievable. There is zero smoking sections outside and not even allowed on their property plus they do not allow re-entry so don't expect to enjoy intermission especially with the crowded bar that you are lucky to get a drink before having to go back in.

My advice, buy tickets to Hamilton or Toronto instead where at least they let you go have a smoke and the ladies have a woman's only washroom. Now I understand why everyone avoids this place like the plague.

The washrooms were "no gender" which was uncomfortable as a female. The washroom stalls are an inclosed claustrophobic box you can hardly get in and close the door to have a shared sink space. Waiting in the same line as men was very weird and unnatural. If you have young kids make sure you go in with them and stay with them the whole time. It did not appear as though there were enough washrooms to the amount of seats and drinks also. Gorgeous theater. Great sound quality. Drinks pricey but not more than the average venue.

Finally got around to getting to this venue Friday night to see Collective Soul. Fantastic venue, very comfortable seats, and amazing sound. The staff were wonderful and friendly. The venue was very clean, especially the bathrooms. Drinks were very reasonably priced, nice not to get hosed on a bottle of water like in Toronto.
Looking forward to more shows here!

I've lived in Kitchener a long time and have attended many events here with no complaints. However, I am extremely disappointed after attending my son's recent high school grad ceremony. My husband rarely goes to theatres because he gets anxious and claustrophobic, but he willingly attended this milestone event.

The theatre was full, loud, and quite hot due to the constant flow of people getting up and down to take photos. All of this was to be expected, it's exciting seeing your child graduate high school! But it made things extra uncomfortable for my husband. He waited to see his stepson walk across the stage, but by then his anxiety was getting bad, and he needed to get some air.

What was not expected, was being told he could not re-enter the facility if he went outside. Absolutely no exceptions, not even to sit in the lounge area to wait. My husband had to wander around outside in the cold, without even a jacket, for almost an hour until the event was over. He didn't think to bring the car keys, because he was too focused on getting out of the theatre at that moment.

I can understand not allowing someone to enter the theatre during the middle of a performance, so as not to ruin the experience for the rest of the audience. This was far from being that type of event.
Not allowing someone with a paid ticket to re-enter the facility, even just to wait in the lounge makes absolutely no sense to me. There were a lot of staff working that night. It would not have been difficult to have someone checking tickets to verify that anyone re-entering had indeed purchased a "right" to be there. Once the event was over the doors were opened wide. Anyone could enter the venue at that point, whether they had "business" there or not. What is the rationalization here?

It seems the policy is to treat customers like common criminals for needing a few minutes of fresh air? I am disgusted, disappointed, and now boycotting. Thanks for all the memories Centre in the Square! But future memories will be made elsewhere.
