Boathouse Spa is by far my favourite spa on Vancouver Island! It’s located right on the ocean in the BEST hotel ever, the Oak Bay Beach Hotel. Boathouse offers exclusive evening Pool Passes for guests between 5:00-10:00 pm every so often. They go quick so follow on Facebook/Instagram for the best availability. The staff make you feel so special right from the moment you walk through the door. You’re greeted with a friendly, warm smile and graciously shown the locker room where they’ll supply luxurious robes, sandals and fluffy towels. They have a licensed bar on site and offer takeaway food from the “Snug Pub” (hotel restaurant). There are 2 hot tubs, 1 extra large (warm) pool, lots of nice loungers, fire pits, sun umbrellas and an indoor sauna. It really is a paradise! You just kind of melt away listening to the ocean waves crash and the birds chirping. They also have a full spa menu - book in early to reserve a good spot. Free hotel underground parking too! Do yourself a favour and check this place out! It’s worth it every penny!

I was taking videos of myself at the pool then some Karens told the staff they don’t want to be in my pictures. The staff nicely took me to the seaside to take picture of me so no one else was in the picture. I appreciate that the staff try to make both sides happy. However, it’s a crowded spa and it’s not against policy that I was taking pics of the pool. Next time, people should have the basic freedom to take pictures of themselves. If bitter Karens afraid they appear in others photos, it’s their problem. It does not feel good as a single colored woman being targeted by a group of white women. Overall it was a great experience. Beautiful seaside, met a newly engaged couple, and the massage was professional. Love it!

I so enjoyed my quicky little getaway so close to home!.
As i arrived at the hotel I was greeted by such a happy and courteous valet which got my day off to a lovely start.
As i made my way to the spa, i thought to my-self, that’s going to be my next job 😉
The reception at the spa was so warm and professional and welcoming made me think surely, it’s a lifestyle for them …
Sheila gave me an amazing massage and hot oil hair treatment and the mineral pool time and hot tub was absolutely divine.
The spa lounge provides healthy refreshments and snacks mint and cozy chairs to sit and relax as you lookout onto the pool area.
I’m living the dream here in my new “Home Sweet Home”

What a fantastic experience. We we're pampered and catered to from the minute we opened the door. Had a couple's massage and the two masseuses were incredible. Probably the best massage of my life and my wife is already planning our return.

My favorite spa day! The sauna, the pools and the massage...soooo relaxing. Staff are wonderful, attentive and fun. The lounge is beautiful. Conversations are lovely. Waters, tea, fruit, snacks, beauty, scent...it's all amazing.

I recently treated myself and a dear friend to a Duo Massage and Facial at the Oak Bay Beach Hotel, and it was an absolute delight! We booked the Active Ritual Massage and the Botanical Glow Facial on June 30th, which were both incredibly rejuvenating. To make our day even more special, we added the Pool Pass, granting us access to the tranquil mineral pool, two relaxing hot tubs, and a steam sauna equipped with refreshing eucalyptus spray showers.

The setting of the Oak Bay Beach Hotel is simply magical, offering reserved seating that faces the ocean, transporting you straight into a serene vacation vibe—almost like being in another country! The highlight of our visit was spotting a charming baby sea otter right by the water, who even posed for a picture.

I highly recommend taking a break from the everyday and treating yourself to this wonderful escape in Victoria. It’s a perfect way to unwind and experience a slice of paradise without ever leaving the country.

If I could give the Boathouse Spa another few stars I would. From the moment you enter the spa and are greeted warmly by the staff, it is was a delightful experience. I was lucky enough to have a gift certificate that I received a few years ago and hadn't used yet so I treated myself to the Pacific Peel Facial. When I arrived at the spa, I was taken to the 'guest lounge' to wait for your esthetician to escort you to the facial room.In the lounge you can sit in gorgeous cushy chairs and have a glass of fresh water, or tea and a nut mix while you wait. They also offer you a locker to put your purse and clothes in if you decide to partake in the fluffy robes and slippers.
I was so lucky to have Carmen as my esthetician. She was a professional through and through and knew her "stuff' inside and out. We had such a nice time chatting and talking about skin care and other topics. By the time I knew what was happening our 60 mins was up! I didn't want the experience to end. Carmen has such a light soft touch and it was one of the most relaxing facials I have ever had. If you have the good fortune to visit OBBH, make the time to book an appointment for a service at the Boathouse Spa. I guarantee you will not be disappointed. I will be coming back for sure, without a doubt! Loved every minute of it!!! Thank you Carmen and the Boathouse Spa!

I had an amazing experience at the Oak Bay Boathouse spa! I've been there several times now, and each visit has been fantastic. The staff is incredibly kind and friendly, and I want to give a special shoutout to Carlos for his fun-loving sense of humor. The front desk staff were also very welcoming and made me feel right at home. The massages I received were absolutely wonderful. The therapists were skilled and attentive, providing a truly relaxing experience. As for the pool, it was kept in great shape. The water was lovely, and the overall ambiance was very peaceful.
I will be back for future treatments and pool time and highly recommend trying it out if you haven’t yet!
