My son and our family were at our absolute lowest. The call with Adam & Juan gave me hope. Every program here in US let my son leave as over 18 years old. He needed more than detox, 30, 60 or 90 days. He was there for 11 months, he worked hard on himself, has grown and continues to work hard on his sobriety every day.
The 12 step program, medical staff, counselors, psychologists and family sessions helped us ALL get to a place for a better future. We recommend this program to any family struggling with addiction.
My son’s transition wasn’t easy, however, the time and work at Baja Rehab gave him the foundation he needed. We will be forever grateful for the entire staff at Baja Rehab. ❤️

Our 19-year-old son just spent 4 months at Baja Rehab. This is the best decision we could have ever made for him. We are so thankful for the initial comforting phone calls with the director encouraging us from the very first inquiry to the unlimited texts and calls of support while we made the long drive to Baja. The scariest part is what we had formed in our own minds about outside appearances and the location Mexico. It turns out the location was one of the many keys to his success. Something completely unique to Baja Rehab and one of the critical factors in helping our son get through detox and recovery is that he could not leave the program while his body and mind was clouded by substance abuse making it dangerous to allow him to make healthy decisions for himself. We were concerned that this program would be appropriate for our son as he also had some unique challenges outside of substance abuse. They readily adapted to his unique needs, personalizing his treatments, making us feel completely relieved knowing he was safe and well cared for by round the clock professional staff. The whole person was treated during recovery with a very structured schedule: psychiatry, psychology, yoga, meditation, exercise, nutrition, his favorite; beach outings, twelve step meetings, and many group and individual therapy sessions. We were intimidated driving through the gates for our first family visit as the rules are strict, but that quickly disappeared as we were greeted with such warmth. The staff's ability to merge professionalism, compassion, firmness and caring for our son made us feel confident he was in the right place for long term recovery. His psychologist was wonderful at communicating his progress, she was honest about his good days and bad days while being mindful of how difficult this was for us as a family. She provided exceptional care for our son and the family. Including preparing us and researching appropriate after care near our hometown. Now that he is home, the staff has continued to support him via texts and calls of encouragement.

I spent 13 months at Baja Rehab, battling cocaine, alcohol, and gambling addiction. My journey has been long and painful, marked by hospital visits and overwhelming debt. I started struggling with addiction at 20, and by the time I asked my brother for help, I felt hopeless.

I didn’t realize Baja was a lockdown facility, but once I settled in, I recognized that being unable to leave was exactly what I needed. It forced me to confront myself and understand that I was using drugs as a way to escape my problems. The support from the staff and other patients was invaluable. I saw so many people come in fragile, lost, and then transform into strong individuals who became part of my support system.

When I graduated in March, I felt a huge weight lift off my shoulders. The mental obsession and physical cravings faded away. Transitioning to the IOP program was crucial, allowing me to ease back into society while staying connected to my new family at Baja.

It’s been 19 months since I checked in, and 7 months since I left, and I’m proud to say I’m still sober. My parents and kids are proud of me too. I can’t thank Baja enough for giving me the hope and tools to rebuild my life. If you're struggling, I encourage you to reach out for help. This place truly changes lives.

I stayed the course with Baja Rehab for about six months and just got out a few months ago. I’m still sober, I transferred to a great sober living in the states and have a sponsor who I was fortunate enough to connect with in Mexico! I met so many amazing people that not only work for Baja Rehab, but of course other clients just like me- who are now some of the closest friends I will ever have. It’s like family down there; so much unity, It’s hard to describe. I usually drive down there every other weekend just to help out and be a part of some of the AA meetings that they put together. I love the speakers that go down and share their experience strength and hope! I continue to meet with my counselor Juan, periodically as well as my psychologist Felipe! I have so much gratitude for Baja Rehab… They saved my life… ! However I do still take it one day at a time and put a ton of action into the 12 steps of Alcoholics Anonymous. I have commitments at multiple meetings and continue with my personal spiritual mental and physical journey/program. I am forever grateful and of course thankful for Jess and Adam; owners of Baja, for continued encouragement through this process. It’s been a journey and I survived.

To Baja Rehab and Adam,

This place is one I was terrified to go to, to get the help I needed, but I was more terrified of not going and putting in the work to help save my life; and that is exactly what Baja rehab did for me. With the help and support of all the staff and the amazing work I did with my psychologist, I started to change my way of thinking, acting and behaving. This place truly helped me to see myself, understand myself and love myself. In my addiction I didn’t want to face myself and now after having gone there and received so much love, support and help every step of the way, I can finally do that. I found the strength to stop running from my problems and finally face them head on and stop lying to myself. Because of Baja rehab, I have reconnected with myself, my friends and my family. Honesty and integrity are values I have always had, but lost in my addiction. After six months there of rigorous work, I am still happily sober with nine months, working two jobs and finally back on track in life. My life feels so full and fulfilled and I’m extremely grateful that I had the opportunity to go there and remember exactly what I’m made of. Thank you so much for all that you have done for me, Baja rehab was that stepping stone I needed and has become apart of my core foundation in helping me feel like I am right where I belong. In meetings they ask, how did you do it. And with the help of Baja rehab it’s easier to say how I didn’t have to do it: alone. I found and made deep connections with my peers and we began to navigate through life sober and I am so grateful I had the opportunity to start my recovery there.

My step son Allan has been attending this rehab for 9 months now. When he got there he was severely addicted to drugs and traumatized by what he had put our family through. He needed a place where he would be treated with dignity and individually recognized after what he’d been through and this is what he found here. Not only is he treated with genuine compassion but the people including the owner treat him like he’s family. There is an exceptional quality here from the medical treatment to the abundance of nutrition, therapy exercise and wellness assistance. This is more than just a rehab, This is a wellness center. We have seen a great change in our stepson, and we are so grateful to have found this place. If you want a life worth living start here.
