After a stroke I came here for physical and occupational therapy. Everything about my experience was positive. Therapists are amazing, they personalize your therapy regimen to meet your specific needs. The therapists are knowledgeable and genuinely care about their patients. The office staff is likewise professional and efficient. I can';t say enough about what they've done for me.

I come here for Physical therapy, Occupation therapy, and speech therapy. They all do an amazing job.

Minal heloa me with my physical therapy. She takes time to address all my problems. I assumed we would focus on my nerve pain in my thigh & my lower back pain. But she took time to assest everything and realized my upper spine was always out of alignment and was one of the main culprits in my lower back pain.

So each visit, she does a Nuca technique for my upper spine - Neck. Ok....at first I was like " what is this hocus pocus?". I was not sure how putting pressure on my skull would help.... But it works. So now I always look forward to it, because it always works for me. My neck is more allied, I walk better, I move better, my hips line up better.

After so many years of lower back pain, I'm finally getting results that help.

Having used and reviewed this facility previously I continue to be impressed with the skills, professionalism and attitude of staff. Just great. As I visit at various days/times it’s apparent that it has become quite busy at multiple times of every day. Having spent significant time with developing like spaces I’d offer a suggestion. The crowding has inspired some great work-arounds but increasing the space 50-100% would alleviate the issues. Once implemented Leadership should anticipate future trends and perhaps leave more adjacent space for growth.
Keep up the good work please adapt before you have unhappy clients or staff.

Speech-Language Therapy (SLP) is more than what you think. It provides mental tools within home exercise plans to improve cognitive skills needed to live day to day. Some examples for me are fun mental games, simplifying planners, and creating a goal in what and how to communicate to one person.

This has had such an impact on my life. I have less distractions, more focus, more organized thoughts and concise speech, and less stress in the day. Tasks are also completed more independently and with a greater success rate.

I am truly blessed to have not one but three team members at Advent Health Sports Med and Rehab in Lake Mary. Along with their welcoming smiles and expressive compassion during each session, each demonstrate specialized skill sets, based upon their personalities, that complement each other to assist me in reaching my cognitive goals. Jenn can identify the overall, causative influences. Then she narrows it down to focus on one priority task at hand. Erica is meticulous with details and structure. She works to help me with individual parts of tasks to accomplish the "That is done!" step and move forward. Becca is the bridge between the other two. She offers a different tool, if necessary, to simplify or enhance the process of a mental task / tool, or just check on what else could support my success.

You will be thankful, and blessed as well, that you chose the Advent Health Speech-Language Pathologists at Lake Mary.

I had a stroke in May 2023. Went to the Lake Mary facility for OT, PT and Speech. I received excellent service.
Neysha was my OT. She is very thorough and helped me reach my goals.
Tara in PT really encouraged and pushed me to over exceed my goals. She not only did she have to deal with my stroke, but also had to work with a recent knee replacement. I now walk without a limp and no pain.
Jennifer and Erica with Speech Therapy were awesome. I now can have a full conversation without stuttering and feel confident when speaking.

They all helped put my life back to order.

WARNING: If you are thinking of going to this clinic because you are in physical pain, BEWARE that this clinic's definition of a "successful" treatment plan MIGHT NOT be that your pain disappears! I spent the better part of a year with both occupational therapy and physical therapy. My therapists and the staff were polite, and they seemed very professional. Out of the blue one day, I was shocked when one of my therapists told me I had "graduated" from her program. Appalled, I asked her how that could be, since my pain remained. She said that because my range of motion had increased to a certain angle, the object of therapy had been attained... and - now get this - she said that the determining factor of success was NOT A REDUCTION IN PAIN. Since then, I have switched companies. My current therapist, who has been practicing longer than the lifespan of the therapist who "graduated" me, emphasizes that pure range of motion is NOT desirable if I am pushed into my pain threshold. If you choose to do business with this clinic, I hope you will gain more healing than I did.
