After foot surgery, I lived at Acadia for 2 weeks for rehab. Everything ideal there, physical therapy taught me exercises for healing, nurses administered meds promptly, nursing aides assisted with personal care, excellent meals delivered to my room on time, every morning and afternoon movies available on room TV, activities every afternoon such as bingo, singer playing the guitar, educational videos on the huge TV, birthday parties, pet therapy. Every morning a packet is distributed with puzzles, events ocurring and biographies of famous people born on the specific day. I highly recommend Acadia center.

My husband suffered a stroke in March 2023. After his hospital discharge he needed rehabilitation and Acadia Center was our choice. The attention to the needs of my husband were outstanding! The Physical and Occupational therapy department is terrific. The therapists are professional and extremely knowledgeable. They work together as a kind and compassionate team which produces much better results. He began his journey unable to walk and after 90 days not only could he tend to his own daily needs but amazingly walked the halls of the facility with the aid of a walker. That is a true testament to the rehabilitation given to him. The nursing and aide staff were attentive, concerned, caring and kind as well. We would highly recommend Acadia Center for Nursing and Rehabilitation. If you have to be away from home for recovery Acadia is a wonderful option.

My dad was in the rehab 3 years ago and the long term care wing. During that time he was very well taken care of. Everyone was attentive and caring. Sad to say at the beginning of Covid he passed away there. Now my mom is in rehab. And waiting for her to be moved to Long term care. Her care has been excellent so far. The staff is very attentive. And they are always ready to answer any questions.i would go there myself if I had to...

I spent two weeks at Acadia. I was receiving PT for an Pulmanary Embolism. I was in PBMC for 9 days. After I was Discharged, I was sent to Acadia. I had heard mixed reviews about the place but I heard that an excellent PT program and facility so we decide to give it a try the two therapist that worked with me mostly was Tracy And Enny(sp?). These two ladies were awesome. They work me hard which I requested I did whatever they asked me to do if they asked me and I tired you wanna stop I said no because I could tell they both were driven to get me better. I can't thank them enough. The facility They have their top-notch. The gym that I and all the other resident worked out in was big enough so we weren't all on top of each other. I would highly recommend this place for anybody looking to get PT.
I also have to give a shout out to the nurses CNA's and LPNs they were so professional caring I didn't get all their names but a couple of names I did get was a young kid named Brian, who was very nice helpful and just so happened his mother works there And she was just as kind I could see where Brian got His good manners from. Vera was one of the nurses on the floor helpful kind always making sure stuff is done if I have any therapy again which I hope I don't Acadia Will be my first choice.
In place it like this you always worry about the food and the food here was really not that bad. It was actually pretty good and as I recognized the nurses the CNA's and LPNs I want to recognize the people that were hanging out the food trays, and cleaning them up, all very nice and professional are always smiling and never had an interaction with one that seemed like they hated their job. This is a long review by something I felt had to be said.

I give this nursing home 2 stars because of the staff that were really helpful in taking care of my mom after she had a stroke and was paralyzed on her left side and needed 24 hour care that is the only reason why this place received a star at all also some of the front desk staff who were absolutely great Juanita and others thank you ladies for being so kind. The social work staff and some of the physical therapy staff were absolutely the worse as well as the physician assistant, from Judy to some of the others I can't remember their names all they saw my mom as was a long term patient for insurance purposes they didn't want us to move her out of that horrible place. There was a time when my mom was going out for surgery on her brain at 5 or 6AM and when we arrived to follow the transport vehicle to the hospital no one was there the place was dark when you entered the only person that was there was the transportation lady who was taking her to South Shore hospital for her surgery. When we finally got in (thanks to the transport lady) the wing where my moms room was it was silent and only 2 staff were on duty in that wing and was clueless as to why we were there they had no idea my mom was going out for surgery. My mom was laying in her bed wide awake not cleaned up or dressed to go. The lady that was transporting my mom told the staff that she was on a schedule and would have to transport other patients later on that day to other places. I could go on I feel sorry for the patients that do not have family or loved ones to speak for them or visit them because you could be left for dead! My mom fell out of her wheelchair "2x" that we know of we are pretty sure it happened more than that. The second time she fell they tried to tell us that she fell out of the bed my mom could not move her body on her own meaning she couldn't slide in the bed lift her upper or lower body she literally had no strength to move herself to even fall out of the bed. She fell out of her wheelchair because they would leave her in it for most of the day and they knew that she had developed bed sores since she had been there they just didn't care and it's sad. I use to tell them that my mom was a person not a piece of paper. She's my mom not theirs so I understood that she would not get the best of care or concern. I pray for those who are there or have to be placed there for a period of time. This place is hazardous to a patients health

I was in hospital for six weeks and don’t remember anything. They told my wife they didn’t think I would be normal again and shipped me to Acadia nursing home where I woke up and came to my senses and called my wife to let her no my brain is back. Acadia took me off medication that I shouldn’t have been on and I finally knew what was going on. The court day I tried to walk with the help of two aides and I couldn’t walk and I was scared for the first time in my life. Then the place hooked me up with Tracy and Michelle and they became my full time physical therapist and started teaching me how to walk again. Twenty days later I walked out of Acadia on my own. I was so over joyed 2 weeks later I went back and applied to become a volunteer as I fell in love with all the people that treated me with love . Special thanks to Jamie Young a social worker who guided my wife Gina step by step to my full recovery. If you ask my wife she will tell you that after two weeks I felt like I was on vacation. To top that off they always has entertainment arranged for all residents we had fun. To me it was like one big family. I can say out of all nursing home I visited in my life I never seen one that clean and free off bad odor. I will be going back next week and bring a vase and flower arrangements which I made my self because I feel like it’s my family.
Sincerely Yours James Riley

The therapy department is the best I have delt with. They are friendly, kind , caring ,and hardworking. I was totally non weight bearing from a fall that broke my knee and fema for 10 weeks, they worked with me to get my body stronger everyday. Now on the 14th week I am going home. No wheelchair just a walker. I can't thank them enough.
Fell in love with recreation staff &activities they make everything so much fun, and a great way to canect with each other. I made life time friends that I will love forever. Actually I have to say that all the staff at Acadia are wonderful. Thank you all so very much ❤
