Recently my husband had a stroke and we selected North Oaks Rehabilitation Hospital. It was a satisfying experience for us. Truthfully, the entire staff were professionally dressed and performed their jobs and duties with care for patients. Doctors, nurses, therapists, nurses assistants, cafeteria worker, case manager and janitors and transportation staff were excellent caregivers. This is a team that gives more of themselves than job description requires. Thanks to everyone who help to make our stay pleasant and productive health-wise. If you choose this rehab, your love ones will be taken care of.

The Physiatrist, Dr. Pathak is the most caring physician I've ever met. He is intelligent and knowledgeable about all aspects of rehabilitation. Thank you for listening and problem solving. I honestly appreciate you.
The Nursing Supervisors were exceptional. Thank you Craig for spending hours the night you were installing the PICC line. You never gave up! Nursing Supervisor Allen is my hero. He promptly came to my room after "the incident." He spoke words of wisdom mixed with humor. He made me giggle. Thank you Allen. I didn't get to interact with Duane, but thank you for being available. Of course I had my favorite - Steve you have no idea what your kindness meant to me. I am forever grateful for you.
Oh, my loving nurses - Gayle, Alicia, Dennis, Tabitha and Joey. How do I say thank you for such loving care. I appreciate each and everyone of you. Thank you for following your calling in life. You made a huge difference in mine.

I had the best time here. The staff was awesome. The therapist was cool. I loved giving them a hard time. I would recommend this place to all. The doctor that I had was a cool dude. I don't have no negative things to say about this place. Thank you for taking g care of me.

My 8-month-pregnant wife needed a steroid injection from the infusion center after we spent the weekend in labor & delivery due to other complications. Anyway, we arrived at the infusion center Monday morning to check in and received an extremely rude welcoming from the receptionist, Vonnie. She had a cavalier attitude and interrupted my wife several times as my wife tried to explain why we were there. Vonnie insisted we were at the wrong place until she finally allowed us to explain the situation. Another old lady came out and did the same exact thing, so I guess it’s their SOP to try to discourage and confuse patients until they give up and leave.

We were the only ones in the waiting room, and the front desk acted like we were disturbing them. You know, patients don’t enjoy having medical problems and really don’t need front-office staff making things worse.

My dad had a severe hemorrhagic stroke. He was paralyzed on the left side of his body. We were devastated to say the least. I happen to believe in divine intervention and that God gives us all gifts to help others. North Oaks Rehabilitation hospital gave me back my father. They treated him with the utmost kindness and professionalism. We cried everyday begging God for a miracle. He answered those prayers with the amazing therapists and nurses at north oaks rehab. My dad walked out of there!! He walked!! No amount of praise or thanks could be enough. I do promise this though. Everytime my dad is able to stand up and hug me I say thank you. Thank you for giving me my daddy back.

The reception and front staff is enough to make me never go back & I never will. The doctor was great but not worth dealing with the rudeness of the staff.
I recommend contacting your insurance and finding somewhere other than here. There are much friendlier facilities in the Hammond area.

I could not be happier with the treatment my father received at North Oaks Rehab hospital. Every employee, from nurses to case managers, was friendly, professional, and did MORE than they needed to. I would recommend this medical facility to anyone.
