My husband had stayed at the Columbia Gorge Hotel around 30 years ago on business trips, so we thought we'd try it out on this trip while my sister was visiting from Virginia. What a wonderful stay! The hotel is over a hundred years old and has been beautifully kept in excellent shape. My sister had a river view room and my husband and I stayed on the garden side. Both rooms were comfortable and very well maintained. We ate dinner and breakfast in the restaurant and the meals were excellent. We really enjoyed our stay and will, without a doubt, stay at the Columbia Gorge Hotel again on future trips!

While the venue area is beautiful. The basement and rooms have a musty smell to them. I do recognize the hotel is 104 years old. |The price for a suite for October 10th 2024 online was 154 a night on your website. We were there for the entire weekend with a wedding party and we were charged 356 dollars a night. What a way gouge at least 15 people. |Mike the waitress in the morning dining area was snippy and seemed overwhelmed both Saturday and Sunday morning by 2 customers. I asked for butter for my English muffin and got a snippy "i already slathered it but if you need more I'll bring it". Why would you butter someone else food|Good portions for the price of food. |Gorgeous scenery of course. |And loved the elevator.

I truly enjoy our stay at the hotel. The view from the room was great; the restaurant food was also excellent. I also used the spa and the massage was great. I think it needs to be made clear that the hotel elevator is manually operated, and a staff member is not always available to operate it. This might make a difference for someone with limited mobility.

I don’t understand how anyone could write a bad review of this hotel!? I had an amazing stay. The garden grounds and the location itself are just magnificent- and I’m from Hawaii! The place is old and charming but kept up very well. The staff is super friendly and the food at the restaurant exceeded our expectations. And we ordered room service for breakfast and the woman apologized for the order might take a while, but it came to the room in a timely manner and she was still apologetic. We loved this place and will recommend to all my friends to visit. Thank you Columbia gorge hotel and spa!!

A charming visit back in time to one of the premier hotels in Oregon. The riverside room views are spectacular and highly recommend. The grounds are of the hotel are enchanting. And if you stay during the holidays the Christmas decore is stunning. Enjoy!

We had a very good time. Beautiful weather even made it better.|All staff members, we encountered, were very friendly and knowledgeable.|Are breakfast was very good too.|The history of the hotel was intreguing. Grounds were very pleasant. Would like to go back in the Spring to see the full floral display. An excellent property and maintained|beautifully!

Fairly disappointed in the staff… is this a sign of the times? Complete lack of understanding about hospitality and the making of your guests feel welcome and appreciated. There was a fire on the highway and instead of being calm and assuring guests that all is good and info shared as they got it, the young staff shut down the bar and restaurant way after the fire was extinguished and ran round the hotel, apparently looking for flashlights. We found a local restaurant that restored our faith that the town is actually lovely and a tourist gem. Breakfast was a Sysco affair and absolutely no apologies for the terrible experience the night before when we checked out. Sad as the location is incredible and the hotel has been adequately restored and is clean and comfy.

Beautiful setting and grounds. The restaurant and lounge are quite comfortable and the food is very good. The hotel is stately and classic. A beautiful drive from Portland and easy access to Hood River and the surrounding orchards, vineyards and wineries. The autumn colors in the area are breathtaking.
