I would like to post this review to let all that read it know that if they are thinking of going to the lighthouse this would be the best decision they can ever make. Everything about this rehab centre is positive, all the staff are professional, caring, understanding and have empathy.
The food is very good, the rooms are very good and the groups are very good. If Family members phone to check if all is ok with their loved one their questions are always answered which puts your mind at rest.
I did not stay at the lighthouse a Family member did and the decision to go to the lighthouse was the right decision after looking at a few options and speaking to Steve from the lighthouse our mind was made up and our Family member has gone from strength to strength.
Thanks to all at the Lighthouse including those behind the scenes.

I was lucky enough to find this amazing team over one and a half years ago now. They literally saved my life, which I will be grateful for the rest of my life. The team and the treatment were professional and very friendly. I can't recommend them enough. Since leaving the centre I have heard so many people saying that they tried rehab and unfortunately relapsed. It's a shame they didn't go to this team. I have got my life back and have climbed from strength to strength, becoming a very successful person in business and my personal life. Can't thank them enough and please take my advice if you are needing help. They will look after you and change your life. Keep up the good work.

I can not recommend this rehab enough .
As a family we will forever be thankful for Grants help, understanding and support .
My Dad was in complete self destruction which was heart breaking to see , knowing there was nothing I could do to save him as I was out of my depth and I’d tried everything physically possible
Sending a loved one into rehab is such an emotionally devastating and draining experience and thought , however after speaking to Grant he instantly warmed my heart with his advanced empathy and knowledge , I knew that my Dad would be in safe hands and with people that are not only extremely knowledgeable but very passionate about helping others with their recovery .
Thankfully my Dad is well on the road to recovery , I have been blessed with more knowledge curtesy of Grants wisdom and most importantly as a family we feeling hopeful and excited about my Dads return home .
Very rarely can we say someone has impacted our life’s selflessly , however We most definitely think Grant has , His passion and empathy is beyond any job description and his ability to be mindful and thoughtful in offering advice to family members is unique and most priceless .
Grants support and reassurance most definitely helped me to save my Dad which I will forever be thankful for .

I have my life back!
I went into the Lighthouse Treatment Centre desperate and broken.
After finishing the 28 day program I moved into the Supported Housing.
Full of nerves and what ifs but I faced my fears and it turned out to be the best decision of my life.
I couldn’t do it in my own.
The staff are amazing, they understand and what stood out for me the most is that they actually care.
I’m happy and content, something I have been searching for 21 years.

We have only wonderful things to say about this amazing place. It gave our daughter her life back, to reach her potential, and be the person we always knew she was. Without this intervention we know we would not have our daughter with us today. They are truly professional and enable through a rigorous programme people achieve the sometimes impossible, but they make it happen, they are different, thorough and don't like many other types of recovery places offer just medication they have constructive programmes that are followed everyday. Thank you all at the lighthouse for returning our daughter back

Excellent facilities and very professional qualified staff. Rooms are good quality, some with en-suite. When i stayed (for 4 weeks during May21) there were 7 other clients, we all got on really well.
I was treated for alcholism, today i feel great.
I stayed at the step-by-step in Shoeburyness, Essex (called Lighthouse).

Avoid. I travelled to their clinic in Southend after paying £1,000 deposit demanded over the phone. On arrival, their main concern was the payment of the rest of the fee before proceeding. My bank declined payment (thankfully). I had already decided that I did not wish to remain there as the staff and general appearance of the place seemed unprofessional. I was later admitted by another more professional clinic/ company and am now well. I requested the return of £1,000 deposit from Step By Step , which they draggged their feet about doing, and would not return the deposit. I therefore had no choice but to go through the "chargeback" proceedure with my bank (I paid deposit with my Barclays Bank card). Barclays and visa are now going through the chargeback procedure with this company so that they will be required to return the deposit. This company prays on people at their most vulnerable moment and should not be trading. If you wish a similar awful experience as mine, by all means go there. I can only advise you of what happened to me, I hope it does not happen to you too
