I've been sitting on this review for a long time as it's definitely a "love/hate" relationship with this place as I will admit MAT has saved my life and some of the staff is amazing, the systems in place (which are per clinic and not federal or state regulation) rely on a punitive system rather than therapeutic.

2 1/2 years ago I got a callback while out of town. My counselors never discussed this process with me and I offered to come back from across state. I was told not to by my counselor until it was too late. She admitted there were gaps in the system that were being addressed and although she told me one thing and it "wasn't my fault" i still "needed" to face "consequences." I lost a week of my two week takehomes in August 2021 because of this. I have been clean since April 2016, tested clean since February 2016 though I was honest that I wasn't stable, and I STILL haven't received my week back. I could've completely fell off and started over and been back to two weeks at this point.

Since recovery, I have gotten multiple degrees, take care of my aging parents, run a successful store, and that is somehow not enough. It's frustrating because MAT has saved my life and I accept it'll be lifelong but with that comes these liquid handcuffs.

Fortunately things are better than they've been. I don't know if it's that Dave is the director now but the way they handled the storm a few months back as well as closing for the upcoming eclipse and ensuring people have proper medication is a great improvement from the travesty that occurred December 2023 with the blizzard, though I'm guessing they got in trouble for the way they handled it.

You hear so much about Catholic Health and what they're doing. How about you do that for Pathways too? We're still patients even if we're "just junkies" which is how we seem to be treated, or a cash mill. A lot more can be done to treat us with respect and dignity and it's sad because addiction can happen to anybody.

Just a note: the nurses are amazing. They are extremely kind and compassionate, so is the guard at the door. I miss the guy who used to be in the waiting room. It's nice to be treated with respect and it's reminiscent of Gerald's treatment, who I still think of regularly and miss, it was incredible how he knew all our numbers and was just such an awesome guy. Anyway- please keep doing what you're doing well on that level and hopefully the other things can rise to that level as well.

Friendly helpful and caring counselors and staff are there to assist you with either your personal struggles with mental health and/or your struggles with addiction. I have never felt like anyone there is judging me based
solely on my addiction, unlike at every other rehab facilities that I have gone to trying to get help.. I hope your experience at pathways will be as pleasant as mine has been.. Good luck and stay strong..

Great place nice counselors, the one thing I dont understand is why do they start u out at a low dose of 30 mg of methadone, and slowly raise it, I would have preferred to start at a Hugh dose so I was comfortable, and slowly went down, the point is to get off the drug, not to work my way into a new addiction. And I have been there 3 months and still only at 70mg, not enough to be comfortable. So I continue using when I feel the need. And every time I ask for a dose I.crease I get denied because I fail my drug test. Its a catch 22. If I could get my dose up to 100 I'd be able to stop using, and pass my tests. If I started at 100, I might have been able to ween myself down to almost nothing by now. Its all about profit, they need u to keep coming so they keep getting paid. They should start u high, ween u off and make room for the next person. I waited 7 months to get into the clinic after I got on the waiting list. To an addict 7 mi this is a lifetime. A lot can happen in that time, including death or jail which we all are doing our best to avoid. Its a great help the system needs work though

YOUR CLINIC IS GOING TO EVENTUALLY KILL MY FATHER IN LAW he was kicked off dart because they wouldn't put his dose up because he is on benzos so he would call the doctor head nurse and counselor everyday multiple times wanting increase so they helped him to get in at pathways he goes in there can't keep his eyes open let alone talk and still dose him he goes to detox every month because he is out of benzos it's so bad he has been kicked out of hospitals and I know your fully aware because some are sisters I have 7 years clean I know what and why he does this however I don't get why you are not doing anything to help him I'm giving you a heads up since you can't help him to live to see his grandkids I AM GOING TO CONTACT PEOPLE WHO CAN

Only interested in making money off patients zero compassion even if you passed every single drug test for years quick to suspend takeouts would rather make more money off a patient who comes daily,It’s so obvious please listen to my 100 percent truthful story,when I first started 9 years ago it was after I had my son and after a car accident I had no fault insurance so pain management had me on tabs with morphine narcotic pain patches and control substance muscle relaxers,I got paid and no no fault ended and no doctor through Medicaid was available for pain management everything was 6 months I started having horrible wd I was sick so I google searched pathways they let me right in ,The Opioid epidemic was on the rise it was 2014 People are dropping like flies people I knew I have been to so many funerals that year of close friends dying I was scared so when I got in Pathways I wanted to do the right thing and I did,I was going through a divorce so I was OK will coming to the clinic every day it got me out the house ,So because of fear of getting depressed I never Even ask my counselor about the takeouts in spite me passing all my drug test for six years straight,Fast forward 2020The pandemic hit I got takeouts for 6 days a week But now I’m enjoying those takeouts because my life is not the same,My youngest child is non-verbal With autism lead poisoning pica And horrible seizures,And aggressive behavior from the lead poisoning,I tell my counselor everything about this,My counselor even new that my child was kicked out of his school since December 2022 because the school cannot handle his behavior it was a school for autistic kids,So now he has a care aid that watches him when I go only on fridays it been only Friday for 2 years,Then about four weeks ago my counselor randomly called Me and told me to come in on a day that I’ve never been, and didn’t say why,So I desperately try to get his caregiver to come over and watch him the next day,But the aid requires at least a 48 hour notice,So I was unable to make it and the following day I get into another car accident,I went to Pathways showed my counselor about my new accident my daughter was driving I was hurt again pain started again, I lost five days worth of takeouts,at this point it’s 9 years with no failed drug test I tell my counselor I am definitely not going to make it here five days a weekI have no one to watch my son that many days a week,And on top of that I’m paying $400 a month and Uber to get here,I plead for a medicade cab My counselor told me to get my chiropractor to get me a Medicaid cab to get to the clinic seven days a week,And of course I knew it was going to happen my chiropractor who just met me a month ago and told me that Pathways had to set up my Medicaid cab,So yesterday after nine years I was forced to quit the clinic, because I lost all my takeouts cuz I had no money for a Uber and I couldn’t have his aid 7 days a week,And here I am going backwards nine years later Re-injured in pain starting pain management in a few days because they will see me once per month ,I pray I can continue to stay strong,But I was not ready to leave Pathways but I had no choice I cannot afford to come seven days a week Pathways you guys should be better especially if you have a patient that’s been there years and never failed a drug test,Try to help them with the simple things like transportation set up,If you no there situation and you know that they passed every single drug test they ever had there from day 1 don’t be so quick to take away all their takeout’s Because at the end of the dayYou really make me People feel like just a number 4207 look me up,My sobriety spoke for it self it should have counted for something…
