I just wanted to take a couple minutes to express how thankful and blessed I am for this place, there programs, and the all around above and beyond support that has been felt from the staff / everyone involved from day one. This program has made many positive impacts on and in my life. And with those many positive impacts and influences I honestly don’t think I could ever properly thank them for everything the have done and continue to do to support me as I walk this journey in recovery.

My name is Carson and I am a recovering alcoholic. I had joined there IOP program a few months ago, I was in a pretty lost and down headspace, with the mindset of finding answers, solutions, and support to help navigate me down the path of recovery and sobriety as I have finally hit my rock bottom in life and tired of the many negative affects alcohol my drug of choice has brought upon my life. They have gone above and beyond, creating an amazing support system involving Doctors, Therapists, Counselors
And everyone in between if you have worked with me you all know who you are ?, ultimately coming together to create a strong foundation to help me rebuild myself on. I honestly don’t even think I could ever list all the great coping kills, and things learned in what will always be the continuing construction process of this best version of myself. But let me tell you there has been a lot, and even more to come.

After around 4 months in there IOP & OP program I had approached the point of completion and discharge from the program. This was honestly a hard one for me, long story short I tried to except it and look at all of the positives / skills learned from my time here. I know that therapy was very important to me so I had made some calls and had some consultations set up for the following week with other therapist so I could continue this as part of my recovery. However while doing this the reality that I was happy with my current therapist became very real, It’s truly hard to think about starting a connection with someone new and not being able to continue with someone who has been there since day one. And if you join this program and get Tara as your therapist you will not be disappointed, she I very good at what she dose, and realizing this I new I had to reach out to Compassion and see if there was anything I could do to continue with the program in a way so I could continue with my therapist. They not only made the exception, they are also allowing me to continue attending a couple groups a week, which was beyond what I was asking for.

Like I said I don’t think I could ever put in words or ever physically show how thankful I am, this place and the amazing people involved with it not only supported me and helped pick me up from a dark place, but are continuing to do so, and I hope I can return this blessing someday! If you are struggling with addiction; mental health, or Anything whatever it may be or know of a friend or family member that is, I really recommend reaching out to see how they can help, I promise you won’t be disappointed. ?❤️

Josh Marquez and the staff did an amazing job of helping me realize my problems in life as to why I was self medicating and gave me a great program / regiment of daily tasks to better myself and beat my addictions.
