I had a great experience with Bethesda Physiocare. Lisa was great and the staff was very accomodating. I received an appointment quickly and after one visit, my shoulder is feeling much better (after 3 months of pain). It's been 3 days since my visit and so far so good. They do try to solve the issue in one visit, it's clear. I thought I'd need multiple treatments but feel I got a great value.

Beyond my own recovery, Noelle's incredible skills extended to my 16-year-old daughter, who suffered a severe knee injury during her lacrosse season. She was in tears from the pain and had to quit the sport temporarily. After just three weeks of treatment with Noelle, she was healed and ready to return to the field.

Dr. Mayberry is fabulous…did wonders treating my significant TMJ symptoms and stiff shoulder symptoms. He spent a while talking with me about my reasons for coming in, and was thoughtful and attentive. Office staff were warm and friendly, particularly Melissa.

I have seen many, many PT's over the years and Arona was the most helpful and knowledgeable by far. He is honest with expectations and very well trained which allowed me to return to playing sports with the tools needed to play regularly. He is extremely responsive and you can tell he cares deeply about his patients.

As someone with EDS, I know what it's like to schedule an appointment with a PT and be afraid. Will they understand what I go through? Do I have to convince them of my pain? Will they injure me? If they work on my knee is it going to mess up my ankle? Bethesda Physiocare knows EDS, and I confidently recommend them to anyone who needs a PT who understands the complexities of hypermobility and the overwhelming amount of physical and mental impacts it has on my entire body.

Making an appointment is easy. Operations Director Melissa, frequently found at the front desk, is incredibly friendly and easy to work with around insurance questions/filing claims.

So far, the PT I've been working with is Dr. Arona Diop. The amount of trust I developed with him is unlike I've had with any doctor. He listened to me about my dysautonomia symptoms, mental health symptoms, and pain concerns in detail before creating a treatment plan. He has helped me realized what my honest potential is when it comes to being strong, active, and managing my pain flares. Arona is a provider who truly takes a patient-centered approach, working with me at my speed, and still pushing me to safely do (light) weight exercises for the first time in years. I've had other doctors in the area who claim to be the expert because they also have EDS (Arona does as well), but Arona applies his lived experience, wealth of anatomical knowledge, vast experience of working with patients with hypermobility and EDS to be hands down the best PT I've ever had.
