I am so happy with Apex....They really treat my mother with alot of love and respect. Eli is a wonderful admin. He always is there for you to talk to. I wish my mother could remember the names of all her wonderful Ades and nurses but i do know a few like Georgia, Denise, Michael, sue Stephanie, lisa and, Clint, My mother has giving all her friends nick names, Everyone in the recreational department is amazing They know how to make people happy and get them to join in the fun. (Lighting, Sexy, Queenie, cup cake, pretty women, dancing star, they know who they are lol) The PT department did an amazing job on getting my mother to walk and they continue to help her with her everyday struggles. I am great full for everyone in Apex (Momma boo, sunshine, angel, Pocahontas, and sweet pea) There are too many to name. They really make her feel at home Thank you from the bottom of my heart!!!!!!!!!

My fiancé have been at Apex for a week and I’m so happy that he’s here. The facility is clean and bright and cheerful. But most of all the staff. From his arrival they were very inviting. Nurse supervisor Fatima was very warm and comforting making me feel more confident that my fiancé was going to be ok. Nurse Allen and Nurse Sally are amazing they take excellent care of him. I can’t forget about his aides Ms. Darcey and Ms.Sabrina they keep him clean and always looking good. But all this wouldn’t be possible without the guidance of the director of nursing she is always visible making sure the residents are taking care of and her staff is doing their job and she does it with a smile. I can’t forget Al supervisor of laundry because of him giving me a tour before my fiancé came he probably would not be here. But most of all the entire staff who runs this facility I thank you and I definitely would recommend but keep in mind that when family work with staff they see that this is not an easy job but when working together it makes it easier for your loved one to recover quickly

MY mother in law was at that place they almost killed her for us. I had to come all the way to Boston to checked on her to make sure she get the proper care. That lady call Gina the head of nursing she's very inefficient at her position. She's refused to send my mother out for belly swelling. I had to find out she's not passing bowel movement for months. If you really care for your loves one stay away from that nursing home. She's not only unprofessional she's nasty yelling at family members refused to listening when you talking to her, she's had bad attitude and refused to send your loves one out to get care at the hospital.

Do Not send your loved ones to them.
They DO NOT care about patients there. Except a couple of nice nurse and assistant, they are totally incompetent, rude and heartless.
Front desk people talk loud on cell phone all the time when not sleeping on the job—especially the male worker.
Shame on them!!!!
I would give them a ZERO if not for the few good employees.

Apex Nursing is the worst nursing facility in ny state. They refused me from going to my Physican on Sept 30 2024 then they tell me while your here you cannot go out on pass to your Doctors.Next I have an appointment with my Eye Surgeon on October 2 for me to get shots in my eyes to help stop the blood from filling up the back of my eyes. They told me no.I was forced to leave there because I could not seek help from my Doctors. The 3 to 11 shift there at apex you ring the bell the aids don’t show up then they want to know why you angry. The total administration is out for themselves. The nursing Director Gina is very unprofessional and rude.Pt is at least ok but the food sucks there I would not feed it to my own dog. This place needs to be put under investigation for illegal people working there.Do not bring your Mother or Father there you will be very disappointed with the level of care.Kathaleen the nursing supervisor was the only one trying to help me.I told my ex roommate to watch them.I rate this place a triple zero.Stay Away and Beware I was only there for a short term and it was a horror for my life .Only telling the facts and true situations

The worst facility ever. Make there residents feel like they have no choices. Treat guardians and family members terribly when trying to mediate issues. Leaves my brother unchanged for hours. He has had things gone missing from his room. I’ve been on FaceTime as they pulled the phone out of his hand and moved him against his will. As a loved one you are always on hold and I’ve waited 3 months to speak to a supervisor. The only time I’ve seen her is when she hangs up the phone on me. I’m afraid of any in person conversation in that they are very argumentative and would probably make it worse as we are in the process of moving him.. do not , DO NOT trust this place. You’ll be left worried on hold hearing about a “5 star review facility” followed by lies.

Update: 20 minutes after posting this review. My brother fell out a small wheelchair they put him in with no seatbelt twice. One in which I had to call to get someone in before he hit the ground. The following time they left him in the same wheelchair after my complaints and moved him to his room for “more supervision”. He ended up falling on the floor and being left there for about 20 minutes. I watched the aides come in and leave as he’s sliding and say “I see that” . At this point I called an ambulance because I didn’t know if my quadriplegic brother had any injuries because the foot pedals were shoved in his ribs and he landed on his legs. The supervisor then immediately came on FaceTime accusing him of doing it on purpose after entering the room late. I found enough was enough and went there to file an administrative report. Instead of talking to me and coming to a solution. She had the front desk call the cops to scare me to leave in which the nice front desk lady apologized that she had to do it. I’m a 5’2 non threatening teacher desperate for solutions and the cop quickly switched to helping me get her to speak to me. SHE REFUSED TO SPEAK TO THE COP SHE CALLED once she realized I did not leave because I had nothing to hide and explained my issue to the cops. The cop let me file a police report against them because she refused to let me file an administrative report with her. Then advised me to take my loved one out of their as quick as possible in that she can’t force her to speak to me and “she doesn’t seem like she wants to help me” she told the cop through the front desk receptionist that “she had nothing to say so she would not come out” . This is the exact problem with the argumentative staff that I was referring to. As a supervisor you don’t have to have anything to say, you should be able to listen with compassion for a solution. But that’s the other problem the lack of compassion and need to be right over power any patient or guardian involvement.

While I was waiting for the cop I had the pleasure of being on the other end of those horrid calls I make which end in being left on hold. I watched the front desk receptionist desperately answer phone calls from family members worried about loved ones not being changed. There was one woman on the phone looking for a loved one she hasn’t spoke to in 2 days and has been waiting for a call back for a check in. She was on hold during my entire ordeal as the receptionist answered more calls. Just for her to hear “I can’t get anyone again , can I give you a call back” unfortunately I know she will not. And I wish I could’ve went back there and checked myself. Horrid.

This place can only be described as gross negligence. Don't put your loved ones in this place if you're expecting them to get proper care and be treated like a human. The new head of nursing Gina is extremely inefficient at her position. Maybe she forgot there are vulnerable people in her care. My poor aunt is suffering every day in this facility and no one will do anything to remedy the situation. They have isolated my aunt, everyone is nasty to her she calls crying every day about how horrible they are to her in this place...they moved her into a filthy room filled with mold, and have made erroneous claims regarding the situation. Disgusting facility.

This place man!!! Nursing sucks, director supervisor Cathy loves too tell everyone shes a supervisor but cant handle her position likes she yells it.. she hides in her office when big situation happens or any concerns for questions. Someone can give your loved one the wrong pills for the day/week and she dont care so a lot of the nursing dont care. i feel super bad for the person who has to work the front desk they get the most heat cause these people who are in positions to care for our loved one dont care or answer, so everyone stuck yelling at the front desk person. my loved one is a quadriplegic and they are always left in there own pee/poop for HOURS!! On top of that they took there chair that insurance pays for and puts them in a regular wheelchair …. Guest what they fall and hit the ground im on FaceTime watching this while my partner almost in tears calling them just to get the run around… p.s they said it was there fault for falling like wahhhh Please if you have a loved one in here just ask them how there are being treated or just go there and see please cause this please needs to be closed for a lawsuit in definitely coming. P.s.s i think they need to look into everyone starting at Gina.
