I had a very nice visit with my neighbor of 15 yrs. today. The facility was very well kept and the staff were attentive and caring. I went at dinner time and all the residents seemed to be very happy and content. The courtyard was beautiful and there were beautiful flowers....just a happy place.

I was so very blessed to find Martha having such a good day. She said a few words, smiled a lot and had soft loving eyes. I think she recognized me. It was a very, very pleasant visit.

The above was the response from the visit the last time I was there. Since the last visit her heart has developed a heart problem. The visit today was hard because her body is shutting down. She has stopped eating and barely drinking. It won't be long at this rate before she completely shuts down. She has a DNR so if she is dieing
, there is to be no resuscitation or hospitalization.

My mom has only been at River Valley for afew days so my review is perhaps not as relevant as others. But I was impressed with one staff member Kevin. He seemed very genuine and inspired my confidence. Also the front line admin/coordinator guy, Jeremy, impressed me quite a bit.. he is very visible and accessible, clearly driven and dedicated. This guy is forever up and down the halls, talking with staff and not sitting around in his office. Guy came right in and got down on his knees to console my mom and introduce himself when they were checking her in. He and this Kevin also checked on me a couple of times, asking if I was okay and did I need anything. You could tell they meant it too.. I would call myself a fairly tough customer.. the jury is out regarding the rest of the staff as yet.

From top to bottom the whole staff was and is AWESOME!!! Jeremy, Grace,Dave, Fernando everyone was extremely nice as well as the residents! Very very impressed with the facility!!! AWESOME!!!

I love this place. Not only is it clean, but it smells clean. The staff are helpful. The residents are clean, and nicely dressed. I would trust them with my family.

Had Thanksgiving dinner with my grandma Thayer today. Food was good and plentiful. Everyone there was on the stick very attentive to the residents and their guest. The place was nicely decorated and very clean. Thank you guys job well done!
