I entered The Rose House having spent decades of carrying, hiding, and masking PTSD symptoms. I’d spent years in weekly therapy, psychiatry appts, neuro testing, and such beauty in my life. But, my mental health still eventually reached its darkest. I needed residential treatment and chose The Rose House. From my first phone call with Allison, to now five months out, I’ve felt care, support, safety, respect, expertise, and HOPE greater than I’ve ever known. The staff and practitioners there deeply believe in their work, and deeply desire healing for every client regardless of why and how they arrived at the RH. Everyone involved — staff, technicians, therapists, group leaders, clients — was a big part of my learning and healing. Every client’s journey is different, and it’s an honor to have been a part of theirs. Had my life allowed, I would have spent several more months in processing and growth at the RH, but the time I did changed my life. It’s not a treatment facility, it’s a warm, safe, and endlessly challenging place to heal.

I just celebrated 8 years of sobriety and I want to thank the Rose House for their support in my recovery! The Rose House showed me compassion and tough love, which is exactly what I needed. The team created a safe space for me to process and heal and the women I met along the way changed my life for the better. The groups and projects made me face my fears and gave me an opportunity to gain some self awareness. I would not be here today without The Rose House- they created a program that kept me sober, introduced me to a sponsor who walked me through the 12 steps, and taught me how to show up for myself and others. I am so grateful for the start in recovery that the Rose House gave me! Thank you all for challenging my thinking, helping me heal, and making me do the things I did not want to do. Words can’t express my gratitude!!

Our daughter was in drug induced psychosis, had gotten arrested, had multiple speeding tickets, and became someone we didn't recognize anymore. We were desperate to save her. I did research online and found The Rose House and I am so happy I did. The staff at Rose House are remarkable and truly care about the individuals that come through their door. They have the experience to deal with issues that arise and give advice, when we had no idea what to do to help our daughter. Their program is geared to get to the root of their addiction, trauma, and mental health issues, and our daughter was suffering from all three. She was resistant to treatment, but Rose House staff, especially Sandra, knew what to do to help us through the tough times. The Rose House offers family therapy sessions while your loved one is there, and even after they graduate or leave the program. We are several states away but I visited my daughter at Rose House several times. There was a sense of community, and that was very evident during graduation. I felt honored to attend graduation, it was a wonderful experience. Our daughter was one of the long term clients and went to aftercare after graduation, relapsed and went back to Rose House, and back to aftercare again where she relapsed, and then moved to a sober living facility. Rose House was there every step of the way. I asked my daughter what she thought about The Rose House program and she said they know what they are doing, and have a program that really helps people. Even though our daughter is still struggling because she has not surrendered, we will be forever grateful to Rose House for teaching our daughter her triggers, coping skills, about her trauma, boundaries, and rinsing her dishes before putting them in the sink 🙂 Thank you from the bottom of our heart!

If you are struggling with addiction or mental health issues, this is the place to be. The groups, activities and people are amazing. Although the days are long and demanding, I believe it to be one of the best in-patient treatment centers in Colorado. It took me at least two months to finally accept why I was there. This is when I began to grow into the person I am today. If you need help, please do not hesitate to call the Rose House. Although working through the program takes time and a whole lot of hard work...believe me, it is well worth it.

I was at the Rose House in 2020 and I am so thankful I went. The treatment was not what I expected, and despite wanting to/almost leaving during my time I am thankful I stayed through the main house as well as step down. There is always someone there to speak with, even outside therapy sessions. I arrived to the house heavily depressed, anxious, and experiencing PTSD, and today I feel I can manage everything I deal with (on a lighter level now) with a new mindset and can combat any urges I feel with confidence. Overall I am very thankful for my time there and for the help and support I received to get me back on my feet.

I came to the Rose House in early 2022 when I was in drug-induced psychosis and suffering from devastating mental illness. Having experienced chronic trauma throughout my life, I had never truly felt safe in any environment. While aspects of my early treatment were contentious due to my numerous overwhelming issues, the staff ultimately took the time to understand my treatment needs and life goals. Initially making little progress, I became a long-term client, staying far beyond the stated 90-days. The Clinical Staff and technicians were able to see beyond my apparent mental illness to help me identify my hidden strengths. The EMDR work I completed on a weekly basis effectively treated long-standing trauma from which I had previously thought I would never recover. The group therapy and the Rose House’s strong focus on building a healing community of clients taught me the necessary skills for how to live with my lifelong social phobia and markedly diminished my overall depression and anxiety levels. The outside 12 Step programming (AA/NA) was highly emphasized and has alleviated my drug cravings. Yes, my stay was far from perfect and I saw many clients struggle with the structure of the program. It is not uncommon for clients to stay longer than 90 days, but often that is what is needed. Nonetheless, I cannot recommend the Rose House enough for anyone suffering from a combination of mental health, addiction and trauma. Moreover, while marketed as gender-based treatment center, Rose House proved to be an inclusive healing environment, providing me with the treatment I desperately needed despite the fact that I am non-binary and don’t identify as a woman. If you choose the Rose House and are ready to surrender, you will find a passionate, dedicated and knowledgeable staff who are ready to listen and support you throughout your treatment stay and beyond.

I am honored to be leading healing Journey Writing Circles and gentle yoga circles at The Rose House—and I can honestly say it's the highlight of my week. Every single woman I have worked with at The Rose House is unique and wonderful in her own way. I can feel the love, support, trust, and friendship that develops between the women during their treatment. It's a community, a home, a sacred space not just a treatment center. The staff is warm and welcoming and Allison Hill, the executive director, is a wonderful human being who truly cares about every person's healing and growth. I am humbled by the origin story of The Rose House and I can feel the heart and caring that has gone into creating this safe, transformational haven for women who travel far and wide from all over the country seeking treatment. The Rose House has been nothing but a gift in my life and I hope that all the women take what they have gathered from their time there and go on to live a life of self-love, purpose, and contribution thanks to the in-depth programming, holistic nourishment, life skills, and community support they receive at The Rose House.

We were looking for treatment for my daughter with mental health and addiction issues, after she had attended several thirty day programs without success. When I was researching programs, Rose House popped up in the search and I felt like it was the answer we were looking for. The state where we reside did not have any programs similar to Rose House, where she received treatment not only for her addiction but her mental health issues as well. She completed her ninety days and graduated the program, but did not participate in the aftercare. She was home for a month and relapsed. The staff at Rose House were so supportive to us as parents, and encouraged and welcomed our daughter back. She returned knowing she had to work the program and completed an individualized program, and participated in aftercare. She has celebrated fifteen months of sobriety. We felt so much support from staff, particularly Sandra. She maintained communication with us and assisted us on our recovery and learning journey as parents. Despite being several states away, we made frequent visits to Rose House. We always felt welcome. We observed staff and client interaction, without any concerns. Our daughter has continued to use the skills she learned at Rose House and continues in her growth.
