At first I wanted to leave early. For many reasons. Detoxing is hard. I had ideas of this place being just right for me not thinking about the fact that no place will be perfect . I expressed my concerns about the food and a handful of the staff and one particular nurse. They were addressed quickly. And I ended up having a couple great nurses and a handful of staff who really helped me. I’m extremely grateful to them. They were kind and courteous and really cared I wish all of them could have been that way, but unfortunately not everyone is compassionate. To the ones that treated me like a human and not just someone they had to deal with me, I will be eternally grateful.

Had a short stay at the Haven Detox center in Lancaster tx. Over all the experience is about what one expect from such a facility. Getting a " snack" however is quite ridiculous. They " they staff" treat grown adults like 5 year old children. First off you would expect snacks to be readily available for the patients, but this is not the case. They have the snack cart make rounds 3 times in a 24 hour period and your only allowed 1 .30 cent snack per person, ( literally maybe 4 mini size cookies per person) . If you ask for extra you will be denied. I tried to bring in my own snacks from home but this is not permitted. I realize this is a trivial rant but treating a 55 year old man like a 5 year old is demeaning. Iam certain my insurance is billed 1k plus a day and they limit your snacks to $1.00 per person daily. Cheap and unprofessional. This is my first and certainly my last visit to such a facility, however if treatment was ever needed again I would not use the Haven of Lancaster Tx.

Let’s just say if I could give this place a zero stars I would especially for the location that is at the Crescent Medical Center. More than once I have had them come in my room 30 minutes before it’s time for us to get up to smoke and take food out of my room that I was saving to eat. The staff is very rude and as far as a detox center goes, people can smuggle drugs in, and they would never know it These are just very small amount of issues that this one has. The cleanliness of the group room is horrible. The cleanliness of my room was horrible when I got here. I actually cleaned my room myself. You might want to send somebody over here to check this out.

The Haven Texas is an exceptionally caring and professional facility. The nurses, discharge coordinators, and staff are empathetic, professional, personal, and passonately focused on making the difficult process of detox from alcohol or other substances as comfortable as possible. They ensure privacy giving everyone private, one person rooms and private bathrooms. The food is outstanding, plentiful and they allow you to even personally choose your menu. Every night they bring by snacks. Coffee is unlimited. They offer 2 AA/NA meetings a day for those that want to attend. They accommodate their patients by doing their laundry, allowing patients to focus on recovery and detox without worry or distraction. The Haven Texas is a top-notch, outstanding facility! The experience here far exceeded my expectations! If you want a very comfortable place to detox where you are treated with the highest level of care, dignity and respect, then choose Haven Texas! Thank you so much Haven Texas for saving my life! If I could give this wonderful place 10 stars, I would do so!

Jacob,Helen, Katie, and Keylishia ,Uylissia Tracy,Keisha ,Jacque, Destiny,Heather, Shera.. Especially Helen,Jacob ,LUIS and Tracy are some of the sweetest caring people have ever met ?. But BIANCA is one of the rudest people I have ever met . Some of the things she says about the employees an patiences is beyond me . She will make a person relapse or be very miserable on their job. She has to remain professional at all times an understand these people are human beings. UNPROFESSIONAL, if i could explain in one word .Other than the one bad apple, the rest of the bunch was absolutely wonderful even the ones names I couldn't remember. This a awesome program, and I thank you for everything. Let me no forget NATHAN IS THE BEST DISCHARGE EMPLOYEE AND A AWESOME PERSON HANDS DOWN, HE IS INCREDIBLE. THAD AN MOLLY ?too

They Genuinely care and are able to provide what it takes to get me transportation, medical evaluation, closely monitoring detox without judgement, a helpful professional facility and staff from the moment i "make that call to them, they are On It! Supporting me. If course there are hiccups. They are receptive compassionate providers who worked together for a solution for me and a direction to recovery/treatment options, along with action to Get me transportation after detox to treatment. I'm Grateful for all of them.

I want everyone to be aware, if you have children, this place will report you to CPS.
Also, if you are pregnant they will try to give you suboxone, but suboxone does cause birth defects. Anyone can look it up and see that. You must provide subtex for anyone who is pregnant, not suboxone. So obviously they do not know what they’re doing, and agin… THEY WILL REPORT YOU TO CPS, so if you really want to go here make sure you are not pregnant, and if I were you I wouldn’t even mention the fact that you have children.
Extremely disappointed. If I could give 0 stars I would. And if you have mental health issues, they definitely do not help with that either.

UPDATE UPDATE UPDATE UPDATE UPDATE! (due to the owner’s response):

I want everyone to know that my child was and has never been harmed or neglected. And the CPI stated the report was filed strictly for the fact that I was admitted due to my DOC. No reasons of abuse, or a child being hurt. Now I figured there was a possibility that the report was made due to my pregnancy, because that would have technically been under the category of a child being hurt. But come to find out… it wasn’t. It was only filed for the child I already have (meaning the CPI didn’t even know I was pregnant, and had no report of the pregnancy from The Haven), and I have the paperwork of the report that was made by y’all to prove it.
So that being said, Haven Hospital, I suggest y’all go over rules and regulations and HIPAA violations with all of your staff.
And I strenuously believe that anyone who goes here, or thinks about going here, has the right to know that they are at risk.

P.S.
Since The Haven is a detox facility, let me go ahead and remind you the very first step of the 12 step program: ADMITTING YOU HAVE A PROBLEM. Instead of beating around the bush in your replies to people that point out your flaws, either don’t reply at all, or take ownership in where y’all mess up.

P.S.S.
And one thing I am not going to put up with, is The Haven insinuating that I abused or hurt my child on the internet for everyone to see. Because that is exactly, how I took that response.
