A very good rehabilitation center.
It is very well-equipped and has a dedicated staff at every level, who take their work very seriously. We were impressed by their sincerity and devotion, and they were always ready to go the extra mile. But like anywhere else, there are a few who do not meet the standards. However, their percentage is so low that it is largely eclipsed by those who carry the banner high. The rooms are well-equipped, comfortable and ergonomic, and so are the attached restrooms. The food choices for the patients are both nutritious, tasteful and varied. The cafeteria too is very well laid out, and there is also a provision for guests to order the same dishes as the patient, at a very nominal price, and as long as the guests have their food in their patients' rooms. Coffee, tea and fruit drinks at the cafeteria are free for both the staff and the guests.
A highly recommended rehabilitation center.

I had an excellent experience and I highly recommend them. After being bedridden for a week, I could not take even a couple of steps without pain. I am so thankful to everyone who helped and encouraged me. Nikki and Carmine were my therapists and their PROACTIVE approach gave me more determination to get walking and moving again. My wonderful doctors, Dr Voss and his assistant Benson, Dr Shah and Dr Taca and his assistant Gina gave me great care. They changed a medication for Essential Tremors that I have struggled with since a child and I no longer have constant shaking. All the nurses helped me so much and techs Janie, T and Marie always brought a smile to my face. Camilla in Nutrition and Lindsey my Case Worker were fantastic. I have the determination to keep going and I even got to see the Eclipse with everyone. When I rang the bell we were dancing! Thank you from the bottom of my heart. YES I CAN!

The nurses and their aides were attentive and caring. The food was tasty and well seasoned, and my therapists wanted me to get better, and were very
patient with me. They made therapy fun. I highly recommend the Arlington Texas Rehabilitation Hospital.

I would have rated five stars easily except for one issue, that is the food. I know hospital food in general does not have good reputation, but so many problems with the food can be prevented or easily corrected. Let me start with the positive, though, the OTs and the PTs Are outstanding.
I came in the last week of June for Le knee total replacement and spent 10 days here. Upon going home I had a few weeks of outpatient rehab, And because the first surgery had gone so well with its rehab, I was able to come on August 20 for the right knee
replacement. I’m being discharged on the eighth day following surgery as independent. I am walking without assistance of a walker or cane, and I am able to do everything independently because of the skills of Jasmeen T., and the other PTs and OTs, including especially Bailey and Maddie. they worked with me individually and Exceeded all
my expectations. (I need to also mention the PRN PT (Macy?) on the weekend was also exceptional in her skills.) Jasmeen’s knowledge and skills will make her an exceptional employee when she is hired following getting her graduate degree.
I worked over 35 years as a vocational rehabilitation counselor, and I experienced observation and placement of clients in rehabilitation facilities, so I have some background to Reinforce my opinions here, in addition to just being the patient.
I have to also thank the administration, the physicians and nurses that everyone here was very professional and helpful.
So the only thing keeping me from giving a five star review is the food. I provided some specifics to the staff so that they could know what is important about the food just the bread quality and the basics in overcooking vegetables, under cooking the bacon, for two examples.

They did nothing to make sure my home was safe to return to. I thought there is supposed to be a supervised trial run. Home health was not arranged. Home health is not coming until today, two days after discharge. I can't get to my bathroom with my walker among other problems. I've been going to the bathroom without my walker because the doors needed to be taken off the hinges. I told them in advance my home is not safe to return to.

I am giving this place 2 stars because of the therapy staff, not for anything else! The food was not very good, but I was allowed to bring in food for my wife. It is a for profit operation so the owners don't maintain the patient furniture. The tray table in my wife's room had no wheels and was difficult to move about and raise and lower. The chair in the room, when I tried to raise the foot rest it popped out so hard and fast it nearly bruised the backs of my legs. The therapy staff was very good and patient with both of us in teaching us what we needed to do once we got out of there. The nurses were overworked and under paid and under appreciated. My wife required additional medical care while in the facility, the nurses could have done the work but let it slide til someone else did it. On one occasion I questioned the nurse on the procedure to provide an infusion. She got defensive and raised her voice which led me to raise my voice. She eventually called the police on me. I was looking out for wife's safety because I knew what the proper procedure is in preparing for a blood transfusion. The doctor over seeing my wife's medical needs, i.e. blood and platelets missed her blood count numbers 2 weeks in a row. They don't have a lab in house so they send the samples to an outside lab, then they have to request blood from Carter Blood Bank. The process to get blood and or platlets takes a minimum of close to 24 hours from start to transfusion completion. The nurses can do it but it is not a priority for them. The facility says their priority is rehab but the nurses don't do the rehab, the therapist do. I definitely would not recommend this facility if someone needs anything more than rehab!
