Staff very friendly and caring. During my stay, every aspect was very important to me. I had many concerns about my health post surgery. The Doctors on staff at this facility was absolutely mind boggling. Every single day they checked on me and cared for me sharing their concerns that were trouble spots, in my health, and throughout my life. They had 4 different doctors that I saw, and 2 every day came to see how I was doing, to check on me and ask me questions.

( My PCP doesn’t even look at me, touch me, check my heartbeat. They are too busy typing the wrong symptoms that I came in with while at the same time, offering me no diagnosis or solution.)

This is the staff that I would trust my life with, and if I had a choice, the doctors here would be my permanent doctors.

The rehabilitation and physical therapy staff are very well educated and are very good at helping patients with their individual needs. I saw some pretty amazing results from the patients that I saw every day during my stay, including my own.

This is for my husband. He was the patient.But, he’ll never do these reviews online, so I will. It is a top-notch beautiful facility. And the staff works the patients more than the other rehab places. We were just in another one for almost 3 months.. He ended up going home for two weeks and then going back into the hospital because of having the flu. This time we decided he should go to Encompass. I should’ve done that before. I would send him there again and again. In 10 days he came home so much more improved. Then we had home health, PT, and OT come to the house. Best decision I ever made.i recommend them highly. I did not want to make the drive to Lakeland. That’s the only reason I didn’t put him in there at first. They also have a living center center and a driving simulator for real practice so that when you go home you have done the real thing. I’ve never seen that anywhere else

The therapist were outstanding. Very patient but very effective. The nursing and support staff were excellent as well. The only complaint I have is that housekeeping only cleaned my room and bathroom once during my 10 day stay. And I had to complain numerous time before that happened.

I absolutly loved my theraphy at Encompass. Truth is i hated to leave ,but theres no place like home with my daughter and grandson. It was like being in a resort all the nurses and nurse techs were tops. If I asked for something they said,” If that’s what you want”. I made a new forever friend, Jean while I was there. That’s like the icing on the cake! Oh and we had a fun joke , I was the Queen of Encompass Health of Lakeland, complete with a tiara! Whenever I d go into the theraphy gym someone would say,”Here comes the Queen.” We’d all laugh and I’d give the queens wave. My theraphy was great and hard work but enjoyable. Every day I could feel how much stronger l was getting. Tracy was my favorite therapist we did many different things that all worked for my good.
I must mention my favorite nurse tech, Sumith. Would you believe I woke at 2:30 am one day and asked to take a shower. At 3:00am I was in the shower for as long as I wanted!
I can’t say enough wonderful things about encompass!

Every aspect of Encompass Rehabilitation Hospital is a 5 star rating in my opinion. The caregivers, nurses, doctors, therapists, maintenance, food providers and facilities were all great and made my rehab time very enjoyable and rewarding.

The staff was excellent. They were friendly and helpful. I wish I had found them after esrlier surgery. I felt safe in the building too despite a hurricane blowing over us.

I was in Lake Wales Hospital for 2 1/2 weeks due to a hernia that had to be operated on. On May 24 I went to Encompass rehabilitation hospital to get my strength back. The hospital is very nice clean and has all updated equipment. The nurses and doctors were on point and answered all the questions that I had. I let them know I was only gonna be there for a short time and they said that it was up to me and how I progressed with rehab. Needless to say, I progressed quickly and was able to leave on Wednesday May 29. I would highly recommend Encompass for anyone in the Lakeland area area.

This place is AMAZING! My husband just left on this past Tuesday. He was extremely weak when he came in and was up and walking around with a walker by the time we left. The Dr.'s were amazing, Dr. Mbakem, & Dr. Kumar treated my husband like family, while he was there! The nurses and the CNA's provided excellent care, his physical therapist John was the BOMB! The PT's and OT's are insane AMAZING! The will push you beyond your limits! And last but not least big shout out to the kitchen staff! I know most of the review talk bad about the food, but if you don't like what they provide, they'll cook you your meal of choice! The grilled cheese was his go to, and they even allowed me to get a meal on a day I didn't feel like leaving to get lunch. We went TGH Rehab before Encompass and let me tell you!!! Encompass surpass them by a long shot because of the family-oriented vibes and because I felt like the physical therapist cared about our care after we left. He gave us great tips and he showed my husband how to get into our truck safely and TGH did not. Thank You All for the kind care and rehab you all contributed to!
