During the months of October- December of 2022, I had an excellent experience with Karen Occupational Therapist for my vision therapy after having brain surgery. During my therapy sessions she was highly skilled and caring. She tailored my treatment plan to my specific needs and goals, which made a significant difference in my recovery. Thanks to her amazing skill set, I was able to get better sooner than what the doctor expected. I can't thank her enough for helping me regain function and improve my overall quality of life. She's truly an angel on earth.

I have attended PT and OT for the past 2.5 years at the Plant city location. EVERYONE is awesome from management down to clinical and support staff. They ALL should be commended for their commitment to their patients, hard work and capabilities. I appreciate every single staff member at the Plant city office.

This review is long overdue. My new normal life started July of 2023. with two blisters on the side of my right leg. I had no idea why my legs were so swollen, painful and wet. Eventually I went to South Florida Baptist ER and wound care. The condition of my legs caused many other problems.Lack of sleep huge problems with my the pain and my balance. I fell numerous times and on some occasion had to have EMS come to help me get up.These falls cause more medical problems. Two broken ribs, a black eye, a hematoma on my thigh. The pain was so bad that navigating the stairs and getting into the car was almost impossible. Eventually I was diagnosed with lymphedema.

I was referred to South Florida Baptist Rehab. This is where I met an amazing occupational therapist Jodie. Not only did she explain everything that was happening to me over and over again until I could understand. She also wrapped my legs (wound care) sometimes twice a day. On one occasion I was not able to walk to the car because of the excruciating pain. She called an ambulance and sent me to the hospital. The ER doctor refused to read her note to the ER regarding my condition.

There are medical equipment that can help control the lymphedema. The insurance company will not pay for any of the cost. I paid $230 for velcro leg compressions. This was not for the whole leg. It was from the knee down. The upper legs will cost an additional $400. I don't have that kind of money. There is also a pump that would help things greatly, however I don't have and probably will never have $10,000 to buy one.

South Florida Baptist hospital Rehabilitation is a wonderful place. I am sure that without Jody my life at this point would be much more debilitating. I am truly grateful for all the above and beyond help that Jody has provided.
